yes , The mixed up game plan ,we just don't get right yetIt’s not like there aren’t options. If Benji wants to swap Skelton out for a speedier winger, Staines is there.

Thanks mate..at least its not the board endorsing him...we all know how that endsBENJI SAFE - EVEN IF HE WINS ANOTHER SPOON
Wests Tigers boss Shane Richardson has declared coach Benji Marshall’s job is safe despite five straight losses and the possibility of a fourth straight wooden spoon.
Losses to Storm (64-nil), Rabbitohs (22-12), Cowboys (32-28), Penrith (18-14) and the Canberra Raiders (16-12) at Campbelltown on Friday night have left the club just two points above the bottom three clubs.
But Richardson insists: “I’ve got no issues with Benji - he’ll be our coach through to next year.
“I can guarantee he’ll be here. When you’re building from the bottom up you’ve got to have some stability. My feeling is Benji is the person to lead us to the next level.”
It’s that time of the year in an NRL season where the blowtorch is turned towards the underperforming clubs and their struggling coaches.
Benji is in a group including the Titans’ Des Hasler, Manly Anthony Seibold and Newcastle’s Adam O’Brien who are under the most pressure.
There’s no question the Wests Tigers have improved significantly on previous years.
But there are still nowhere near where they need to be.
“I still think Benji’s the best person for the job,” Richardson said, “I can make a tough decision if one needs to be made but I believe in him.
Richardson is not concerned that boom five-eighth Lachlan Galvin recently walked out on the club to join the Canterbury Bulldogs.
His agent, the twice deregistered Isaac Moses, had fronted the Wests Tigers boss with a seven-point dossier of complaints around Benji’s coaching.
“I’m not worried about that at all,” Richardson said.
“Benji’s got a great work ethos and he’s a really smart guy with great rugby league intelligence.
“I like the style of his coaching and the style of player he wants.
“He’s getting better and better. He listens and wants to learn. I genuinely believe we can build this club around him.”
Found it @innsaneink
I think with Richo we won’t hear the board endorsing under him, it’ll just be him if necessary. Thanks mate..at least its not the board endorsing him...we all know how that ends
Benji is a media darling to a large extent, Richo wont waste thatI think with Richo we won’t hear the board endorsing under him, it’ll just be him if necessary.
Correct , we need to push on and get young May up and running and maybe in the team in a few weeks time ( probably 4/6 weeks via cup ) get him set for end of season , pre season , KPP coming adds I feel strength on an edge , we still need another couple for back up , prop , lock , centre , but most important keep building our cup team so we have decent back up fighting for a spot in top grade , Benji will get next season to show if he can hold the job , but it would need a top 8 finish now I think , TDS if we need to let him go KPP now is a good get as Benji could and should have used him last game , last 10 minutes would have been perfect to bring him on fresh , but not doing it shows he is gone I believe , do it now and benefit from itthe dumbest thing this club could do is replace the coach at this time
Nah I’m sorry, but getting the spoon again with the new recruits we have in such an even comp, is not the mark of a successful year, imo. I don’t care how close the score lines are, getting the bloody spoon again would be a disgrace. If we keep losing close games for the rest of the season & get the spoon again it will be a successful year for bunji
Plus we have 5 wins which is better than our previous spoon years
😁
We need to replace the coach as of now let him go back to coaches schoolNah I’m sorry, but getting the spoon again with the new recruits we have in such an even comp, is not the mark of a successful year, imo. 2025 was supposed to make or break now that he had a decent squad. It’s gonna be hard to excuse another spoon. Seems as though the club will though.Benji will be in a make or break season 2026. It’s a key offseason for the club in terms of recruitment. How we play for the rest of the season will be critical. It’s a better team and they play hard.
Someone like Brad Arthur is a better coach however the damage in changing outweighs the move at this stage.
We signed May late last year Richo has to make similar moves
That aint success....its just a fraction betterIf we keep losing close games for the rest of the season & get the spoon again it will be a successful year for bunji

I don’t think you are far off. He’s a great man manager, but you need more as an NRL coach. I’m not sure how another spoon, or even a bottom 4 finish could be deemed acceptable.Yes he might be safe, and the players are playing for him (for now), it would be stupid to get rid of him at this time.
But i cant wait until we do. He will never be the coach to take us "to the next level". Not In a million years. He's not a coach.
Ill never forget watching this seasons pre-season camp thing on youtube, where he ended the team talk with saying "I (F-word) love you'se C-word" to the whole squad.
That just showed to me his level of professionalism and how he approaches this team, I think its crazy we ever experimented with this guy.
anyway, just my opinion guys, don't have to agree with it lol
I would be surprised if Benji is coaching in 2027. We have to start winning the close games.Benji will be in a make or break season 2026. It’s a key offseason for the club in terms of recruitment. How we play for the rest of the season will be critical. It’s a better team and they play hard.
