Oh, c’mon mate. We all knew Galvin wanted out as soon as Sheens was unceremoniously booted out on his bum. And it comes as no surprise to anyone that a former Westfield Sports kid sees his future somewhere else.
If the wheels fell off on our season it’s due to mismanagement of expectations.

I was going to argue this. Because it's super weird as Sheens was Crapola.
it was actually sad to see Sheens return to the WT and bungle it all up.
No thought past "fast footy" and no adaption to the team he had even when he recruited many in the roster.

Issac Moses apparently went off at Benji for not respecting Sheens.
Maybe Moses believed in Sheens and thought Benji was bad.

Then Galvins family (apparently, unsure how believeable this is) went behind Moses and did the deal with the dogs...TLDR: Moses doesn't respect Benji, family doesn't respect Moses.


Overall, we need to punt these drama queens. Galvin is really the only one who showed future first grade potential and he is the drop ball manager at the Dogs.

It’s the same thing as collecting a guy around the head as he’s falling. Yes, it’s totally unintentional, but there is zero tolerance with contact to the head, no matter what the circumstances. Same thing with touching the ref.

The way we have 2 left sided players where the 1 who broke the nrl fitness record is the one sweeping , is a pretty unique attacking structure .
With our fullback locked in down the right as second receiver off the link man forward .
Who does that suit ? It was to unlock Galvin .
Now once the fittest guy in the club is gone , the second fittest who is squally at most clubs the fullback , so also the easiest to provide width to the edges , is the one doing the sweeping .
Now Bula is not first receiver , luai is posting up down the right a lot more , and every single member of the spine has had alterations to thier role in every attacking structure on the field .
Now the edges no longer have player X delivering the ball them it’s changed to player Y . So they’re building combinations as well .
The whole things a mess , and Benji himself said we had to redesign attacking structure with Galvin gone . Because the attack was built around him , to maximise his uncanny motor .
So if people are gonna say I’m scapegoating or I’m blaming things , actually come at me with football responses mate . Because I literally just dissected why i believe this , and why I think it’s clunky and a mess . It’s not just “GaLvIn LeFt aND We SUcK nOW” .
The spine haven’t adapted tot hire new roles , nor has the edges clicked either .
It will get there , but mid season is brutal to be coming up with this stuff .

Did all the players have pre booked holidays again?
That would have been the perfect time to start working on our new combinations. Sure Latu was still out with a hamstring and thumb injury but still the blocks could have been built then.

I thought the game changed when Sutton failed to penalise SAAB for disrupting Laliiii when he jumped higher than LL and stuck his ganglion arms out in front of LL's face and at no time had his eyes on the ball - his head never looked back over his shoulder or up at any time. LL dropped it and they score shortly thereafter. A 39 minute armwrestle over in a dud call.

I thought disruptor as well. He left early and didn’t challenge for the ball. It’s an area that can be well exploited if you time it right, you can’t tackle in air but there is no rule that says you can’t collide in air. Players should just go all in on a catch, worst case scenario is it’s hand over tackle 5.

Not being a dick … but how’s that possible . I’m assuming they practiced different guys in different roles , but at the end of the day most time would have been invested in the starting lineup .
I don’t even know what you guys are debating …. Is it just you want Benji tot all on his sword because it’s easy to blame him ? Is that it ? So any logical debate is out the window ?

I was one of the ones scratching my head as to what's going on. But if you want me to feel sorry for benji building a team around loyd Christmas. Well my answer is nah ! No Pitty from me or patients. I lost my patients 10 years ago.

It makes you wonder if he can't do it then no one can. I honestly don't know how to describe my disappointment. Every year teams get off the bottom and perform better except us. We are anchored to the bottom by bad planning bad recruitment bad management. Every bastard under the sun wants to milk us . Richo being the latest with his son . And apart from that we have pissed off every betting agency and ref in Australia to lose every 50 /50

And don't get me started on our bad luck.bula two games in a row and inch away from winning it but tackled just short.

I said the other night, whoever comes to this club, regardless of previous success, loses brain cells. Outside of Sheens, over 20 years ago, I can’t think of a single individual who has come here and moved this club forward.

No but we had a disrupted pre season and yes and no he was still at the club. He was actually told to take leave and stay away from training till his release was sorted. (Just to protect him from any further bullying obviously).
