LIVE GAME Round 18 v Roosters live game discussion

Live Game Discussion
It crossed my mind but didn't want to say it what we have tried and failed 15-16 times in a row
I’d almost forgotten we play at Leichhardt, when you look at Brooky full every game you realise how much you miss a proper home ground.
We’re just like nomads.
I’ll tell you what, if we do happen to beat the Warriors you better get to LO early the following week, Titans or not.
Nothing better than a kill on your own turf!

Tough call on Douehi, I thought he went ok, and couldn’t see much wrong with his kicking game. Plus 7/7 very useful when you’re down 5 tries to 4.
Hal,

Sorry mate but I saw if a little different. He kicked down the throat of Tedesco and Tupou time and time again, he kicked too deep so there was no pressure, and he kicked short instead of long just before half time. The kick returns hardly ever started from the corner to allow us to apply pressure with our defence.

Shoudl we even raise the two opportunites he had to seal the game and he couldn't get into position - not totally his fault as clearly most didn't know WTF was going on.

Apart from that his kicking was OK. He did some good things with the ball in hand and tried really hard.

Sorry to say, but it will be great to see him at another club in 26.

Luai has also failed to capitalise in the red zone many times this year.

Some coaching needs to be invested in this area.

It's a lot of opportunities lost.

I saw Doueihi's game differently. Showed a lot of leadership today. Thought his kicking was better than any of our other halves for the year, some nice passing e.g. for the Fainu try, defence was rock solid and his running was strong as ever. His goal kicking won us the day.

I don't think he is a front-line half anywhere in the NRL. He couldn't string 5 games like that together. He is a very serviceable back-up though.
Sorry mate - just replied to Hal on the saem topic. There were a few simple things I was looking for from his kicking game and they didn't materialise. Given the ckicking game is so improtant in the modern game I thought he missed the mark.

He was defintely servicable today - but his general play kicking made it difficult for us.

So I feel dirty but I’m riding Manly home this afternoon. Hope they pummel Souths, we need to keep them behind us. They still gave 2 byes left and we have one. The good news is that both Parra and the Tits have used up all their byes and are still behind us 😁
100%

We need the other dud teams to continue being beaten to keep us far away from the bottom.

Souths. Titans. Parramatta.
I'll be cheering on any and all teams playing against them.

Go the mighty Wests Tigers!
No spoon this year.

I thought AD in the red sone wasn't too bad. My biggest criticism was his general kicking game. I doub't anywhere int he game plan it read - kick the ball straight to Teddy/Toupou so they can attack a staggered defensive line.

Well let’s do a comparison on Luai next game. Funny, when Moses and Cleary kick deep they’re lauded, but you’re saying AD stuffed it.
I thought he went ok and will be sorry to see him leave. And his direct running 🏃‍♀️ n the first 25 mins was refreshing.
We won’t agree on this mate so let’s agree to disagree.

They were the most seasoned players on the field.

Think they were just prepared.
Improvement needed.

Now was AD responsible for a staggered defensive line, that’s the coaches job to have them moving as one, as all the good teams do.
Let’s not jump off Benjis back just yet, there are several areas where a “proper”coach would make an impact.

Sorry Jolls
It might be just us older blokes but I’m with Hal on this one.
Thought Douie ran the show today, and would make a handy 14 in our side if we could find a centre for next year.

that was a big win today to avoid the spoon … not a done deal yet though..

Hope Manly put 50 on Souffs

Douehi has been getting better and better lately
Please extend him .He's a "heady footballer " got the footy smarts
Our previous win vs Dragons Douehi was instrumental with a try and a try assist .
Put him back in the centers instead of Luke L and that will fix one problem but need Luai to get thru Wed night unscathed

They allowed them to watch the replay before challenging also.

* earlier in the game.
I'm actually still so angry about this.

This is proof that ref actually decided the game depending on the scorecard.

Just like they do game 2 origin each year.

They just want a close game.

Pathetic
