Where I disagree with you is that we could have a fresh batch of players but we don’t have the coaching and support talent to get them to optimum.
Spot on.

One of the greatest dissapointments of this whole experience is just how much we turned inward.

And turned inward to players who ... some can coach. I rate John Morris. Heighington and Hodgson both have aspects going for them.

But have limited us in so many ways.

Richo and the board need to bring people from outside the Wests Tigers.
We need people who can coach differently, who can work with Marshall but can enhance Marshall.
Above all, no more inbreeding.

Yeah, that’s a proposal worth implementing right away.

The test should be merit based and not the length and depth of your connections in the club.

This is what Richo should be implementing, surreptitiously if necessary.

We need the best defensive and offence coaches and support team out there and we simply have to spend the money.

We might have to look at setting up a proper R&R team with resources.

We should be investing in tech and A.I as well.

Unfortunately, he was a great player and all of that, but Benji doesn’t have the skill set or ability to make the impact we are desperately looking for. He can be deployed elsewhere.

There are much better coaches out there.

As for Dennis carrying on with this hope business, well that was doing the rounds 7 years ago. The glory days of 9th.

I’m not sure how long the club expects us to be treated so badly.

The longer we deny implementing these changes, the worse it’s going to get.

I told the club last week I didn’t expect us to win another game this season and I’m looking forward to another spoon. And of course, that Richo and his new board haven’t repaid the faith given to them.

So I’m not reserving my contempt for our idiot lot here on our forum.

Nil happy clapping from me, no locker licking, no sacking gear stewards when we have a coach who hasn’t got a clue.

We can’t expect our players to perform.

All that said, no excuses for Galvin and to a lesser extent TDS. Players dogging our club stand for nothing. Cowards.

There is a certain kinda pride Magpies fans have.

We never had money as a club and always lost good players.

Yet were still here. Sure it's wests Tigers, but were the biggest Underdogs of the NRL.

Don't get me wrong. I am Proud of our Balmain heritage and I always liked the tigers.
I am proud too as a Magpie. We batted against teams that were spoiled.

We as WT need to be proud of both clubs. Take your stirring to the north shore mate.
Rubbish.
They were known as the millionaires in the 50s

didn't our club} form because of the league war ,Rupert and his pay tv.FK knows why we still argue amongst ourselves over what may or could have been. Respect the past , its way past our time as fans to move on ,
The more time goes by it will keep fading away never given another thought just like the Dodo bird.

Lot's of criticism towards him...I'd like to see what the forum experts would have done in his position.

"Gotta keep our Juniors" and "Why aren't we replacing these players" and all the other bed wetting when frankly I doubt very highly they could have avoided any of it themselves. Particularly when you have competing opinions on what should be done...board, coach, himself and the fans...how to make everyone happy? You simply can't.

Having managed staff myself, they all think they can do it better. When you present the full and unfiltered details to them, they all suddenly have no idea how to fix the problem. Don't come to us for solutions...we are just here to criticise.

If it was simple, Richo would have had a simple fix. I doubt it's as simple as the bed wetters make out.
I think there’s a lot of misinformation in the media. We hear that the senior players are signing contracts at Tigers because they want to play under the coaching of their boyhood idol, while the junior players are leaving because they don’t.
This is in contrast to previous allegations of juniors being treated like seniors, while seniors are treated like juniors.
There’s some journalists working overtime to rock the Tigers boat.

Yeh right , and this is exactly how people make out Richo is godlike and some master schemer

Wasn’t a legit offer… pfft bull

- was on graham podcast saying spent weeks getting the deal set up with sponsors and everything

- got emotional with the press release about Galvin not signing which started the mess

Richo is good but he is not playing 4d chess while the rest of us are setting up the chess board
I think the plan was to definitely push them into make a decision - we needed to know.
A five year deal for a young player on significant money would normally be snapped up it needed to be ready to go.
The exact figures - who knows - as the contract was never looked at according to Moses but at 5 year deal will usually result in significant money.

There are a few inconsistencies regarding Galvin’s departure.
Here we have the club saying the offer was on the table, while previously Richo stated that he had only thought about making an offer and was told by Moses not to bother.
Moses and Galvin never had a decision to make, did they?
Because the club had a contract?

We would like to announce that Lachlan Galvin will not be with the club beyond the 2026 season.

Despite the club having the largest contract offer for a junior in the history of the club on the table, Lachlan and his management have decided his future lies elsewhere and were not willing to review the offer.

It should be noted that the club has no intention of releasing Lachlan from his contract, and he has not requested this.

Obviously, there will be a lot of speculation around this release, but we will make no further comment.

The club is focused on winning as many games as possible during Lachlan’s tenure and beyond.

The club is disappointed, but we move on.

Well spotted.

The club and Galvin had been at odds for a long time.

We leaked like a sieve during the fracas, it was deliberate to make a monster out of Galvin and IM.

The unwritten code is that players shouldn’t talk out of turn against the coach and fellow players. Just like many workplaces.

A good example is Doogie pouring water on suggestions that Benji clocked him. Solid from Doogie, but I imagine the club was in on it too.

It’s in overdrive Benji Fest now as the project sadly unravels. There are ways out, but everyone is so invested in the r&r project, they are afraid to lose face.

Human nature to save their own reputation with scant regard for us filth.

It’s reminiscent of the Lee and Co mismanagement. They wouldn’t surrender and had to be sacked. An extreme measure.

Getting ready for 360

Says Benji is not going anywhere
He thinks Bula is worth the option money
They make a million for a sold out Commbank and $450k for a sold out LO…

Sounds like he could be having second thoughts on his claim that it wouldn’t be as hard as turning the Bunnies around.
