Richo is on crack this year
Lot's of criticism towards him...I'd like to see what the forum experts would have done in his position.

"Gotta keep our Juniors" and "Why aren't we replacing these players" and all the other bed wetting when frankly I doubt very highly they could have avoided any of it themselves. Particularly when you have competing opinions on what should be done...board, coach, himself and the fans...how to make everyone happy? You simply can't.

Having managed staff myself, they all think they can do it better. When you present the full and unfiltered details to them, they all suddenly have no idea how to fix the problem. Don't come to us for solutions...we are just here to criticise.

If it was simple, Richo would have had a simple fix. I doubt it's as simple as the bed wetters make out.

A
Galvin. 3 games. 2 losses with Dogs.

Was he really our saviour?
Im enjoying every dud moment of Galvo since he left and I haven’t been disappointed.

The only thing he seems to have improved upon since he left us is his near hysterical antics during try celebrations when someone else goes over.

Full credit to Gus and his coaching [This word has been automatically removed] Ciraldo for stuffing up their premiership aspirations.

I was a big fan of what he did last year, but this year the criticism is warranted.

Not quite, I’ve offered a solution, it’s called signing up a new coach asap.

Perhaps someone with experience?!

Bed wetters lol, choice expression, even if I disagree.

Last year was warranted -inter alia-to the extent that Benji kept making excuses he was a rookie.

But as discussed previously, our fault for promoting him above his station.

I’m betting he would say himself that the season so far has been below his expectations..

It's been 12 months. We can't give people such little time to change things that the last administration destroyed over 10 years.

What is it that you are so upset about?
I'm not upset, this is what I've come to expect at this club.

Last year he said we're building around our juniors and in the last 9 months we've lost probably 4 of our best 6 or 7 juniors.

The men are going for their 4th spoon in a row and the women are going for 3 straight.

Apart from that, the club is doing amazingly well.

So you have criticism around losing Galvin, Da Silva and...

Galvin is going like a busted.

Da Silva would turn us into premiers over Api?

It's funny, the same people that are vocal about our results now are furious we are not promoting juniors that aren't ready yet. If you want to promote juniors, you need to accept the losses that come with it, but then you'd go and call us a basket case or blame the coach if these guys aren't winning. It's contradictory.

The team now is about 75% done. We need to add a few more players of quality to turn those 2 and 4 point losses into wins.

Taylan May and hopefully KPP make a difference next year. Buckets of money to add more in the off season.

Next year though, no excuses as I have always said, once the team is of comparative quality to other top 8 teams, you can only blame the coach after that. I'm simply prepared to allow time to pass for the end objective to take shape and see what happens. At least the next coach will have something to work with unlike Maguire, Sheens et al.

Perhaps, but he’s not really under any genuine pressure because the club wrote him a blank cheque in terms of players, staff and security of tenure.

Realistically, he’s got nothing too valuable to lose by continued coaching failure because he’s got plenty of options through his natural playing gifts and previous hard work, he’s wealthy.

My bet is that he’s going to screw up his sacking.

He’s going to say he accepts responsibility and then give a million reasons as to why it’s not his fault.

It’s not in him to publicly acknowledge the fact that he’s virtually useless, especially in football matters.

He has his own ego to lose which is massive …( to him )

People saying it’s “only twelve months “…. That’s probably going to be 20-25 percent of his tenure here …

You seriously don't believe Benji is the sole reason for these results do you?

If you do, you'd better back up why the previous 5 other coaches couldn't get near the 8 either.

To me, one of the biggest issues is the teams we were trotting out each year. He has come close to putting a pretty competitive team on the park bar a few needed additions. No other coach could attract anyone of note...and I distinctly remember people saying no one wants to play with us. That seems to have changed.

It's easy to criticise, but can you give credit for anything?? At least have some balance. Little bit tired of the club bashing when we have a bloke who is putting together the best team we've had in the last 10 or so years and hasn't even had a full season with them yet.

You are completely missing the point of what is being said on here.
No one was expecting the likes of Galvin and Tallyn to win us a comp in the next couple of years. More like when they are in their mid twenties. That’s why you find a core of great youngsters and build around them.
Api wasn’t brought here to win a comp…neither was Luai. They are here to help rebuild the shithole and get it competitive again. Play a couple of years of finals footy to teach and guide the young guns so that they could take over and actually win the title. That’s now out the window.
Our only option now is to pivot, sack a dozen of the top 30 and attempt to buy a premiership. We might as well try and win with Api and co. This joint is not a development club anymore. Stop pretending it is.

So what? What's he done that you object to and critically, what would you have done differently and how would you have achieved it?

We are 5-11 mate … even by this shit clubs standards over the past 10 years its poor

Im not paid a million bucks a year to make the moves … Im also not privy to the information he is so it’s a pretty pointless exercise … suffice to say I might have brought some other players to the team to replace the ones that were lost … particularly Klemmer and Bateman

I'm not missing anything.

You sit here and criticise and live in a utopia where there is linear positive development of juniors and if we lose one our club is a shithole.

This idea that it's as simple as having great juniors that you have control over keeping each one and they just sit and learn behind experienced guys and sprinkle a few recruits in and that is the secret sauce that Tucker knows, but our dickhead club hasn't got a clue.

Da Silva was offered exactly that. Bide your time and learn behind Api...well....he pissed off because of it. Things aren't as simple as they are made out.

We had a huge bunch of kids blooded last year and the forum was in meltdown that we were losing.

Our fans are the biggest dickheads in the NRL.

Benji is the worst coach we’ve ever had bar far.
Stop the revisionist crap about he hasn’t spent a season with them yet.
He’s been here recruiting and planning this team since mid 2022!
He was a large part of the 23 spoon.
He was an even larger part of the 24 spoon.
He’s heading for another one in 25.
He’s lost players because he didn’t get along with them.
This is his roster. He built it. He is once again failing with it as he can’t coach dog to squat.
