Izaac Tu’itupou #302

He is 28 yrs old, not a kid …. So the expectations are he should be playing with confidence … he will be targeted by the opposition no doubt ..

This is his opportunity to show that he is capable to be a first grade footballer although being 28 years old shows that he has never taken his previous chances.I wish him well and hope that he finally proves that he is good enough.

Great opportunity to use Taylan, Skelton and Izaac against a smaller oppostion. We may need to play with a bit more depth to counter Penrith;s compressed defence but that could well be to our advantage.
Weirdly, we have clear 1 on 1 advantages in a number of areas across the park against Penrith.

Capitalising on that will be the challenge, Jolls, I reckon.

I dont know how I feel about 2 wingers who are both of the similar mould. Damaging runners, strong ball carriers and defenders, both dodgy under the high ball. Should be interesting. Expect him to get peppered by Cleary's bombs all night and I expect him to struggle. Switching may to the right side to help him defensively could be smart. No doubt about it he has been one of our most consistent at KOE but has lapses in defense and under the high ball.
All that aside I wish him good luck

Wingers won't decide this match alone mate. It'll be mistakes and concentration that sorts this one out.

We be fine , all we do is take out Clearly like we took out Tino last game , clean but nasty or get Skelton to cut him in half , stay up in there face , kick early and deep with chasers , kick the game off and smash them straight away in defence , do not , i repeat do not do short drop outs as the other team seem to ALWAYS score with in a few minutes , kick the skin off it and chase it down the field

If Skelton isn't careful, Cleary will be watching for it and make him look silly.

We need good line speed in D to pressure Cleary and make his kicks not so pinpoint against our two wingers who are inconsistent under high balls. Problem is, pressure in D and linespeed are things we are notoriously not good at!
