Problem is that currently his air swings are connecting. 🤣Plenty of jobs he can do with the club. He needs to start thinking about life after football. He looks like a young Laurie Nicholls...I can see him in a singlet in the middle of winter throwing air swings on the sideline...the jobs been open for a while
It'll be as simple as he's got a Development contract with us for next season which is approx $90K + match bonuses but if his management (Richo's son) finds him a better deal in ESL than we would release him.Strange move unless his agent has got word another club wants to offer him a Top 30 deal?
Well this is odd. We just upgraded him and now are shopping him around?Weeks after signing a new contract with the Wests Tigers for the 2026 season,Charlie Murray has reportedly been made available and offered to multiple teams, casting doubt over his future.
One of the feel-good stories of the season at the Wests Tigers, Murray made his NRL debut just under two months ago after being brought down to Sydney at the beginning of the year on a train-and-trial contract.
I remember Sam from his days as a bouncer at The Grand Hotel at Labrador on the Gold Coast circa 2003-04, one of my watering holes back then. Good fella RIP.Big Sam Backo has died R.I.P Sam

I find the NRL and its blatant game managing employees and tactics offensive every single game I watch. It’s a commercial business 1st and foremost that is just so obviously corrupt. 2nd half set restarts and leg up city with the objective of golden point (ratings gold $$) or at the very least keeping all fans believing they’re “in the race”. It hasn’t been about football since 2006 when they “shortened the 10” mid season and made it a wrestle to keep the flag wavers happy and paying. I can remember the first week of it, Parra had been flying and Cronulla were busted and getting 40 put on them regularly (if my memory serves me). Sure as sh!t, what’d ya know, GOLDEN POINT!!I find it offensive that SC wasn't sinbinned.
Now for our next trick, being focused and winning after the bye round. Can't remember the last time we won going into a bye round - so much to feel good about yesterday's result. Heads up to those who went to the game in deplorable conditions
Yes. Benji said as much at his press conference and Latu has also said he is happy with this. It’s an easy solution, re-sign Doueihi as our regular 7, Latu to develop while being our regular number 14, so he’s still playing valuable NRL minutes every week and keeping the pressure on Doueihi and Luai to perform.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think Latu has a big ego and I think he’s happy to bide his time as our regular number 14 and help our team progress in the right direction.
I haven't slept since I found out he was being shopped. Glad I can finally rest knowing he will be here next year.“ Is this a relief Tigers fans ?”
Um ..yeah ? 🤷♂️
While it's not professional I wouldn't be disappointed to see this. Think Lanyon offers more upside long term as a lock/hooker utility backup.Weeks after signing a new contract with the Wests Tigers for the 2026 season,Charlie Murray has reportedly been made available and offered to multiple teams, casting doubt over his future.

I think it’s a fair chance the continual rise of Josese Lanyon could be part of the reason there is a push to see if Charlie Murray can find a better deal, possibly in the UK.While it's not professional I wouldn't be disappointed to see this. Maybe a Cameron Smith referee free player.Crichton sails close to the wind with plenty of his contacts - I would say he gets favourable treatment ahead of some players aside from comparing the rulings today.
True but I’ve come back chastened after a suspension so if he’s a good buy then that’s all that counts.@Halbrowne61 won’t be happy 🤔
They all say they want to turn the club around, which is only lip service if they are happy to be paid overs.I hate posts like this. There isn’t a fan on this forum who has donated $50k to the club. Why suggest a player who has gone through multiple season ending injuries doing his best for us should?
Nobody wants to talk about the first 2-3 years of football he played here. Classic contract year form.Only real prob with AD and I love the guy he's all heart, he just hasn't been able to string a season of consistent football togeather yet. He's had horrendous injuries he's fought back from. He's in a purple patch of form atm, my concern and alot of others concern is he signs the new deal and his form drops off a cliff. He just struggles to find a long patch of real consistent football.
Yeah, based solely on the fact that our players have never done that in any other game, you'd have to think it was purely a retaliation taunt.Wouldn’t be surprised if he was throwing it back at Doggies supporters in retaliation. Still silly of him.
