Tallyn Da Silva #270

Yah whole thing has been blown up.

Also, TDS didn't leave because he thought he was ready to start. He left for more minutes in the hope of becoming a starter faster - which is definitely more of a chance when he's not stuck behind one of the best hookers in the game. He made that decision and took that gamble, not sure why we have to death ride it.

I actually see him coming back to the club, not after failing - but after becoming a more complete hooker.
Agree, TDS made a wise decision. While API was undoubtedly great to learn from, it’s a new environment which can help a player think about his trade differently and perhaps more creatively. Fans can be windsock’s sometimes.

I once had a supervisor who conducted herself like Hitler. She could scare you shitless. On you like a flash if you made a mistake. Sometimes she’d be behind you, guiding you through a task, and you could almost feel the fire she was breathing on the back of your neck. In those moments, you freeze. And the most simple tasks can become as complicated as learning to speak Chinese backwards. You can’t claim with a straight face that there’s no way the first spray didn’t rattle him. Once you’re rattled, it’s not difficult for your confidence to be shot and your brain goes on smoko.

I’ve seen a person lose his life under those circumstances, in a more dangerous environment. I mean the micro management and the positive confirmation of incompetence at a critical moment causing a freeze in activity.

Tallyn Da Silva’s play-acting was embarrassing. Sadly, it wasn’t illegal

If you're going to go down due to an alleged head knock, you should be taken off for a HIA.

Hoping for the same fallout for Galvout. Still not convinced he'll work at 7 for the Doggies this year when the blowtorch is applied. That Wahs game I thought just kicked the can down the road.

Mitchell Moses might be a bit of a $hit bloke, but he demands excellence from his teammates, and gives it to them when they don’t deliver it. Doesn’t hurt sometimes. Parra are a completely different team when he plays. We bemoan losing Teddy, Woods, etc. but I reckon Moses was the biggest loss. He’s a flog, but could have been our flog and we would have loved him for it.
I reckon Tedesco was our biggest loss. He’s been way more durable than Moses and played at a consistently high level from 2018 through to today.

But yeah, both are tremendous footballers and
both were huge Wests losses 🥴

That’s true. I don’t think we’ve had a proper halfback since Prince and he could have been our 7 but I also think he doesn’t get the balance right sometimes with his sprays.

He has always been a whinging little turd all the way back when he was sulking to get out of his contract at the Tigers.

In saying that he's one of the best no.7's going around most weeks, annoying isn't it.
