$50 Million reason Wests Tigers are prepared to quit Campbelltown.

You obviously must be then.
Let us all in about what’s so great about it?
What a condescending question, but I’ll answer it anyway.. Still the greatest memory I have as a fan outside of 2005 was as a ten year old, sitting in the western stand, seeing Andrew Willis kick a field goal from halfway against the Bears, with ten seconds left and the scores tied, that propelled the Magpies into their last ever finals series. And I can still hear the voice of the old Bears fan sitting behind me as the ball left the boot saying “That’s got no chance”, then as the ball floated closer and closer, he says again “Oh shit”. What’s great about the ground, any ground for that matter is the memories you have going there. Ironic that you are one of the first to pounce on @BZN, and here you are, acting like the Balmain equivalent. That ground means as much to me as LO does to any old Balmain fan or any current day WT’s fans. And if you want to stick your nose up at that, well you aren’t any better than @BZN

sold campbletown out against big drawing teams in Parramatta and st george and good crowd against Canberra there closest team
meanwhile LO had two pretty much capacity Thursday night games

in saying that it is good to be playing out of both suburban grounds
It’s purely atmosphere IMO. Thats the issue . Those games last year show that if there’s something to play for and it’s a decent opposition , people will go .
Like I said it’s about getting the crowd involved in the game . It’s extremely hard at c -town

Packed Leichardt...empty Cambpo. How do you know it's not true? Don't dispute what I say based on at least some logical reasoning if you can't bring anything to the table to refute it.
I don't and neither do you. I don't have to bring anything to the table to refute it, I'm not the one that passed off my own preference as something the majority of the supporters want.

If you want to go off numbers, then you must have felt last year the majority of supporters wanted Campbelltown: 3 x 17k crowds there. The best Leichhardt could do was 16k once (15990).

The worst crowd Campbelltown had was 10k, compared to Leichhardt having 7231.

What does all this mean.......bugger all, except because a venue rocked on a Sunday afternoon and it's your preferable venue, doesn't make it what the majority of WT supporters want.

I have said on here previously, IMO Campbelltown lacks atmosphere, I personally think it's too open, but that is just my opinion, nothing to back it up. Ive also been to full houses at Leichhardt and felt the same. Wests Tigers crowds can be very passive at times mainly I think due to trepidation. When they get going they really get going no matter where the venue is.

Mate...if you're a serious bloke, you'll know people prefer to watch the game at Leichhardt...never heard anyone saying Campbo was an amazing venue...like never. You throw out some crowd numbers to slag Leichhardt and that's fine, but I'll use the old line trotted out about Campbo...it was the weather mate...to cold/wet/hot/whatever/don't win enough. The crowds at Campbo should be full considering we are much more competetive this year, but they are 11k average in the "growth area"...if growth means growing down then they are 100% right.

If we are playing the game of not having to bring anything to the table, then we can just disagree. If you love Campbelltown and you want that to have the lions share of the game, good for you. Personally, I don't and I don't think it's controversial to say so.

In any case, you miss my wider point. The split should be 6/6.

What a sad person you must be nitpicking a single line from what I wrote and going on your silly little rant.
In case you have forgotten here is everything I wrote…
“Must admit not a big fan of Cambo.
If you can’t get locals there, which hasn’t worked for 20 years, it’s clear people don’t want to travel.
Plus… our win percentage there is rubbish which is another nail in the coffin.”
Unlike you I was talking about WestsTigers… you know the team we’re taking about now?
It’s a fact we don’t draw good crowds there on a consistent basis (obviously the odd exception) and it seems the locals don’t fill in for those who don’t want to travel to what is, unfortunately, not a stadium that offers much.
Having yourself a wonderful little time there back when Wests were in the comp doesn’t have any real correlation to our current team or the people who live in the area now.
I’ll never forget taking my son there when he was young to watch an early WestsTigers game and the toilets were overflowing out the doors.
Wonderful first memory for him. 🤣

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there terrential rain that day? Are we seriously cherry picking one game. Leichhardt pumps...Campbo dumps...

come and get me westies.
One game? We got 10k to the next game there and 7k to the one after that.
You're way too salty about one of our home grounds getting an upgrade.

You are so far off it's not funny. I'm arguing for 6/6 split. Don't you read my posts before responding?

Great news about Campbo funding...it bloody needs it. Hopefully 50 million buys a bit of atmosphere too.
