Our weak bowling attack
OMG Abbott goes for 50 off 3 overs
No Starc No Hazelwood No Zampa = No hope
Here's a tid bit .Our spinner Kunemann has NEVER taken a T20 I wicket
Ellis is ok Bartlett is ok if wicket seaming but hopeless today
Rest Rubbish

How can Australian selectors put such a team on the park
Only hope for win is bat get 240
Cant rely on just Tim David and Stoinis so Head ,Marsh and Inglis and Owen cant all fail .
IMHO Owen has done his dash

Abbott struggled which I believe is rare for him.

However, it was a 200 pitch so not bad from the bowlers with Abbott being the weakness.

SQUAD: 15 of the very best vying for a spot in our first men's #Ashes XI.
Bring on November 21!
(oh, did I mention Konstas hasn't made the squad and Weatherald has 😉)

Chair of Selectors George Bailey: “The squad gives us good balance and, with 14 of those chosen playing the next round of Sheffield Shield, we will continue to gather information as we move closer to the start of the first Test.” #Ashes

Two 31 yo newbies.
And poor old Ness can’t get a look in?

Reason we lost 4th T20 I
We were quite respectable with the ball
We were ok sort of in the field a bad dropped catch by Bartlett and a bad missed ground field by Zampa
With the bat we can face fast and medium pace but we can't score vs spin
We don't our feet enough . Spin is our weak link

Kwajaja Weatherald , Labuschagne ,Smith , Head , Green , Inglis , Webster and
Carey
That's 9 so 2 to miss out Who ?
For me that's Green and Inglis
Who's your 2 to miss out ?

Assume Starc ,Lyon ,Boland and Hazelwood make up the rest
The other option is either Marnus or Green open and so
Weatherald and Inglis miss out

Sadly for me, the lack of the batters' footwork/technique has been getting worse and so so obvious ever since the test format was diminished by the shorter forms of the game.
I replay many "outs' that batters have, and the footwork (or lack of) is mind-boggling.
What happened to the basics?
Seems to be easier to cross-bat than move your feet in line with the ball.

Steve Waugh stands firm for the spirit of Test cricket.
🇦🇺
🏏

The former Australian captain has voiced strong opposition to the proposed two-tier Test structure, warning that it would only deepen the divide in world cricket.

“I’m not in favour of that. The second-tier teams will only get weaker, and the top-tier stronger. We don’t want just Australia, England, and India being competitive.” — Steve Waugh

A true guardian of the game — Waugh’s words echo the essence of what Test cricket should be: global, competitive, and united.

Tubby is chipping in.

I need to know who’s full fit carrying niggles, is Green bowling? He was the only one scoring on tough pitches in the WI’s, I reckon the selectors are hoping he’s a Kalis unicorn and will keep him at 3.
I reckon they will pick Marnus to open, he seem like he’s back in form, has experience, and is a safer option than the Wetherald. They usually go safe. Inglis is no hope, he will need to keep scoring at shield and wait for Carey to fail. And probably have to wait ten fkn games of fails as they don’t like to drop blokes unless they wanna mess with a kids form.

I have an about as much faith in the selectors as I do in the NRL reducing manager manipulation.
