A huge Big Blue win sees Sydney FC end the weekend top of the A-league

Morgan Rogers' second-half double earns Aston Villa their sixth win in seven, sending them into the top four, the final score being 2-1 in their defeat of Leeds United

And then came the London Derby.
Arsenal v Spurs.
Resulting in a very satisfying result for one team.
The Gunners score a decisive 4-1 win over their arch rival.
And the last off-season transfer hope for Spurs - only to then decide to go to Arsenal, Ebere Ezy scored 3 goals for Arsenal.
On the Spurs side, among a night to put into the bin, Richarlison caught out David Raya from over 35 yards away, the furthest goal in the Premier League so far this season (and good or bad, he contravened the manager's edict to not shoot from outside the box, preferring to play the odds.... )

Arsenal are unbeaten since 2010 in home north London derbies, including winning five of the last six

And onto last game of Game-week 12 of the EPL season:

Everton were down to 10 men when Idrissa Gana Gueye was shown a red card in the 13th minute, and Manchester United, at home, were instantly hot favorites to go on from there.

But football is nothing if not full of surprises.
The Toffees showed grit, and Everton ending up winners over Man United 1-0, courtesy of Kiernan Dewsbury- Hall scoring in the 29th minute.

Is Ebere Eze the new sensation and great coloured hope for English Soccer.

I noticed just today that England didn't concede 1 goal in their group matches for entry to the 2026 Soccer World Cup.
Then I noticed who they played in those matches
Albania ranked 64, Latvia 133, Andorra 164 and Serbia 25
Certainly wasn't the group of death by any stretch of the imagination ?
