Who do you think is making these decisions with no richo or o Farrell, would it be mielekamp?

Benji works with Shannon Gallant as the recruitment manager on who he wants to get & retain who the reports to Shaun Mielekamp as GM of Football.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories but here goes.
Was it just too convenient for Mestrov to leave Manly and then HBG blows up the Board and suddenly Richo is in the firing line and Mestrov is the likely heir ???

I'd say they got the shits with him suggesting Wests Tigers replace Magpies in Cup and moved then. Especially with Mestrov in a role already. HBG assumed that Richo would be leaving.

Now if you're Mestrov, really, what are you thinking? Good pay for a few years with very low expectations would be about it. Manly would be a walk in the park compared to this and he hasn't exactly been a superstar there.

Signing out guys. 40 years of this. Had enough, it’s just not worth it anymore. Clearly uncle den den and mates clearly know what it takes to be successful, mr burgess success at the broncos, storm , roosters, Brisbane lions … wtf ? St George and the Steelers fighting over a shade of red, Fitzroy sacking the lions board, pillars to success. Great stuff . They can have it . Fans mean nothing , spending our hard earned on this garbage . Utter rot . Sell the licence , move on .

Yep plenty of other options. Even if other clubs have baggage, ours is front and centre atm so we will not be signing or re-signing anyone good in the near future. Back to old, injured and with potential lol

Mestrov was pushed out of Manly..had lost the confidence of their owner,the captain,best goalkicker and turbos aren't fans...
will be compliant to HBG,which will be a huge step backwards for WTs with both their track records

Besides CEO’s are not supposed to have too much influence on player recruitment and retention other than to ensure it’s discussed with the board when it comes to high value contracts.
That’s why every other NRL club other than us has a recruitment manager.
