Gee, I'd be disappointed in this. My Grandfather played For Wests in the 60s and my extended family live in the inner west.

I love the history of Wests, and I want the connection retained to the inner west Wests. I don't want the old Wests erased from our club. Wests and Balmain history is intriguing.

Removing the Wests name would be like removing the Tigers name for me, and many others.

I actually *liked* the post so that while trawling through literally 100's of posts I could find where I was up to, when I got home from work at 9.00pm ... geez, people take things to heart.

MY team is WESTS TIGERS. I don't want to hear magpies or Balmain. I don't want commentators calling them Magpies or Balmain, but by the same token, I won't get my knickers in a twist when they are called Wests or Tigers.

A lot of you also forget that while we are 'moderators', we are fans first. We don't do this for anything other than to keep the forum running. We are allowed to hold opinions and thoughts. We are not required to be neutral in how we follow the team, but in how we implement the rules of the forum. I'm *this* close to signing out of here, and walking away from all of this garbage and letting you all have at it!

Yes. You already said you don't care. Somehow I took that to mean you were fine with it...

you’re saying “it’s not fine” and “I don’t care” like they’re two separate ideas, but they land in exactly the same spot.

If something genuinely isn’t fine, you’d care by default. And if you truly don’t care, then it’s at least fine enough for you to overlook.
