Watching the Kiwi v WI game this morning, how long has it been since you seen someone get out via the periscope?
Nearly got one just then. WI 1/120 Hodge only just walked out. Hodge squats under one leaving his bat up and even gives it a little extra push and the ball comes off the back of the bat and skies into no man’s land. SMH 🤦 the basics? I’d love to see Root get out via the Periscope in the next innings. For less than 1.

How good was Renshaw and Wilders last night??!
I got up and watched the replays again this morning, Ren finally looked like a beast with the bat. He’s on fire this season and should have been picked instead of Weathered. These current selectors have NO idea. Sorry I was about to go on a rant, that’s the next post.
Back to REN and Wilderness I’m not sure how many 6’s they hit but I think they were trying to give everyone in the crowd a catch of the ball.

Rant Warning.
These current selectors, Ronald, McDonald, and the rest of the hamburgalers, are useless. Last year they got lauded for making changes 3 games deep instead of having the berries for it at the start and the selection of Weathered over the inform Renshaw has been exposed yesterday for how poor it really was. If Weathered doesn’t know as a left handed opener that a right arm over has to be pretty much coming back at ya to be LBW, or ya review it then he has no future at test level. Meanwhile Renshaw peels of yet another ton this season.
Now to this test; Uzy is fit and they didn’t wanna play him, well he showed them how useless they are. Lyon first game back and takes two crucial wickets, should have played the GABBA at least.
Now I know everyone has been going on about Green, but he saved us on the road. We would have copped a pasting in the WI without him, his form was good coming into this series but has been awful since returning home and Webster should have been picked for this test but I can’t blame them for this after Green’s recent form.
Also after picking Konstas to late dropped him for the easier pitches in SL, even sent him home mid tour, then picked again in the WI where everyone but Green fails and dropped again. Fair enough too, his figures were terrible after they messed the kids head. After settling back into the state season has finally scored some runs but it will be another season at least before we see him back in full form I reckon.
These selectors have no foresight and are only ever reactive, they are supposed to be the guardians of the Oz cricket team and all its players, youngsters and fans.
