Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't like that side of Toa and Turuva playing next to each other, opposition gameplans will look to be running there with pace/power trying to exploit it.
I agree.
They might be ok in attack, but would likely leak plenty of points in defence.
I know someone like Zac Lomax is not exactly known as being a good defender when defending as a centre, but being bigger, stronger and faster with great aerial ability, I’d be near certain in saying he would be a defensive improvement.
For those who don’t like the idea and concerned he will go to RL360 in 2028, we could potentially win the competition in 2026 or 2027.
2028 is a long way away at the moment.

I heard he was constantly way behind in every type of cardio and fitness testing and was doing very little to improve despite being put on a strict diet and program to help him get up to standard.
Who knows, maybe the time out of the game has made him realise what he is missing out on and given him the drive to get fit and give himself a chance.
Does anyone know what the result of the legal action was that he brought about against West Tigers after he was cut loose.

I believe Lee might have had something to do with his legal representation, in which case there would have been much bravado and legal jargon tossed around with very little outcome at the end of the day.

I think Tago is the May brothers cousin.
Although Tago plays tough and has plenty of positives in his game, I don’t think he’s in the same class as Lomax.
If the Eels accepted a trade of To’a for Lomax, it would be like winning lotto without buying a ticket.
Beat me to it, just made a comment along the lines of them being related. 👍

🥄...😂 Ryles isn't the coach everyone had pumped him up to be.
Ryles is Ryles.

Against Melbourne any team can be wiped out.

Hannay is the coach who needs to answer questions. The Titans have a strong enough pack that they should have stopped a points blowout.
Likewise if the Knights turn out to be lightweights, Payten will be asked questions.

Ofcourse if Ryles is 0/3 then the Parra board will sack him. Ofcourse if Benji is 1/10 our board will give themselves another payrise

And Benji another extension.

All Benji, nothing to do with Richo except enforcing the obvious in backing Benji’s decisions.
I agree with some of our very good rugby league minds on this form who say they are still far from convinced on Benji’s overall coaching ability.
However Benji has won me over as its very clear he absolutely loves and only wants the best for our team and club as a whole.
He wears his heart on his sleeve and is doing everything he can to help us become successful on the field.
Nobody is perfect when they are new to doing something, but he seems to be rapidly improving and that’s good enough for me.
Man , the coaching ability thing …. From people on this forum ? Please Benji has forgotten more about this game than they will ever learn .. me included .
Our issue was never coaching with Benji . It was always about maturity on delivering messages , list management , and driving standards . I think he needed your Jordan miller types and your David nofoluma types to take thenpiss out of him , as well as guys to slack off mid game , for him to realise sometimes you gotta be cruel to be kind.
I think he’s found the balance now . It’s about the players executing . I’m pretty confident he will be our Ricky Stuart 2-4 years up … wining games … 2 years down …. And so forth . I think that’s our trajectory moving forward . And I’m ok with that .
