Adam Randell's thumping last-minute header gave Bristol City a point at promotion-chasing Middlesbrough, who have now failed to win any of their past four home games.

Boro looked to be on course to hold out for a vital win before the midfielder was left unmarked in the area from a corner to score with his side's first effort on target in the sixth minute of time added on.

Substitute Leo Castledine gave the Teessiders the lead with a fierce finish from Hayden Hackney's pass with 25 minutes to play.

Fellow replacement David Strelec fired straight at keeper Radek Vitek in the City goal when a second might well have wrapped it up, and they were ultimately made to pay.
The draw means Boro are two points clear of Millwall before the Lions host struggling Blackburn later on Saturday afternoon.

BUT - The Boro: Second place, eight games to go, twists and turns to come.

Queens Park Rangers ended their freefall towards the Championship drop zone with a victory which deepened Leicester City's own relegation fears.

The Foxes had hoped that the midweek win over Bristol City, their first in 11 league games, would herald the start of a revival at the King Power Stadium, and Jordan James' brilliant opening goal further reinforced that optimism.

Gary Rowett's side, however, fell victim to the defensive weaknesses which have dogged them all season as Ben Nelson allowed Harvey Vale in for a simple equaliser and then turned the same player's innocuous cross past his own goalkeeper.

The defeat was sealed as QPR defender Ronnie Edwards was given a free header from a corner to secure a win which halted a run of four straight defeats.

The victory against the Robins on Tuesday was Rowett's first since he took charge last month, but any Foxes fans believing their team had turned a corner were in for a shock after a bright opening.

Mathias Jorgensen scored twice in five minutes deep into the second half as struggling Blackburn Rovers came from behind to stun 10-man Millwall.

Victory would have put Millwall into the automatic promotion spots and an overhead kick from substitute Luke Cundle early in the second half put them on course for a fifth straight win.

But they had to play more than half an hour with a man fewer after defender Zak Sturge was sent off for bringing down Yuki Ohashi.

Blackburn took full advantage as Danish striker Jorgensen tapped in an equaliser in the 80th minute and then drilled home a winner that ensured a first victory in five games as Rovers climbed to 19th, crucially three points above the relegation zone.

For the home side, the shock loss pushed them down to fourth, now two points behind Middlesbrough in second.
