I don't think I have seen Anyone really play like Pat Richards.

There were some fullbacks that could score a sneeky try like him.
There were some 5/8's that could set up a try like him.

As a winger, he played like a goal kicking 5/8. With his kicking I think Monaghan. ... Richards was incredible to watch.

It was an absolute disgrace he wasnt selected for origin in his prime. He was a game changer. There was definitely an anti tigers biased back then - still seems to be actually.

Maddens short kicking game, grubbers from 10 metres or less out would really trouble the Bunnies as most of them are pretty lofty fellas.

A nice little stab & roll into the ingoal, chance of a try, chance of an unforced knock on, chance of a repeat set.

I'd rather not see belting high kicks when the boys are in Souths "red zone" in wet conditions, the chance of one of their outside backs getting clean ball from a bomb and putting a slight step on the defender could see that/those defenders slip over with the wet when they get wrong footed on the greasy ground .

Short kicking is much easier in the wet. Luai is one of the better short kickers around and if Doueihi is to be a genuine 7 option it is a simple enough skill for him to execute.
I agree that we need to keep the short kicks along the ground but surely we don't need Madden to come on just to execute a fairly basic skill.
 
What do you think about Luai? Do we think think this round 1 form was a flash in the pan or do we think he is generally a better complementary half?
