Not sure how i feel about this, on one hand you have has he provided us with 1.2 mil of pure playing quality, you could argue not.
That being said he seems to be the glue and sets the standards the team has followed his lead, you could and probably should argue his value is best felt this way. Can't help but feel a little aggrieved especially with how vocal he was around Galvins exit.

It’s actually better timing in my opinion . As Andruws still needs to develop his body for the defence of nrl . But by 2027 we literally could have a spine of Attard /Bula , Latu , Andruws , AD( one of the 3 off the bench ) and Heyward .
Not bad at all … it was my biggest worry if his contract went to 2029 .

Also Javon and Douehi in the halves. Its our strongest position going forward.

Money could be used to retain May's, Fainus, Turuva all of whom will want more $$ going forward especially how we are playing. On field he is replaceable but he has brought such an attitude across the club which we would miss and has helped attract players.

Not sure how richo leaving has anything to do with this, Luai isn’t leaving cus richo lrft, it’s for money, and I get the impression this has been a long term plan and is why he never got rid of the clauses

Lets put context into this.
Luai has until April 30 to take up his offer and as to which one. He wouldn’t be leaving until 28 anyway so here this and next season.

We are talking after next season.

May & Fainu bros + Bula need extensions which will cost us more.

We have Latu, Andrews, Madden all in the wings plus who know in 2yrs time what changes/who steps up/what door opens - maybe large boys come back…

I don’t begrudge him whatever he decides & if he leaves don’t think in 18mths time it’s the end of the world either.

Could be wrong but don't think he would be up there without the blessing of the coach. It would actually allow Benji to forward plan and retain talent that he may not have been able to. Win win for both.
