Koroisau Suspended

Reme
Over the top , 3 games is a joke , he had no other place to land and it wasn’t deliberate , player got up and played on , 1 week on top of his stint on side line 10 minutes that gave the raiders a sniff and the lead , NRL is a joke
Remember when we had to be suspended for hurting a player? It's whatever gets our players rubbed out.

In the last 12 months the squad has proven it can adequately cover all positions except Hooker. Probably an ideal time to learn what roster adjustments are needed to take us to top 4 and a shot.

All the stupider when they are crying about the player who couldn't finish the game and is out for 3 more not being hurt.
I was not aware he was hurt....I didnt see the game, saw the highlites, people here were saying he was fine straight after

My post with the images is more highliting the possible seriousnes of DaSila & Burtons actions compared to Apis....I cannot understnd how putting someone in a position that could make a player a paraplegic is deemed only fine worthy by the NRL

Maybe you could explain

I will place a bet that Martin is named to play this week. The charge went from possibly being grade 1 offence to 2 the minute after coaches comments at the post match press conference.

Apologies if you didn't realise he was hurt. It had been noted several times here that he in fact was. For what its worth from memory I don't believe it was you I was referencing with my previous comment.

My opinion. Any dangerous throw deemed dangerous enough to warrant charging is dangerous enough to warrant a suspension. Due to the severity of the injury being risked (paralysis as you say).

However, rightly or wrongly, first offence dangerous throw grade 1 is deemed fine only. The next question is around the grading of the two dangerous throws you've noted. Personally I thought Burton had enough force for a grade 2 I can only imagine saved by it not being a traditional lifting technique so probably doesn't neatly fit into the MRC matrix. Da Silva I haven't seen a replay since watching it at the pub yesterday but Grade 1 seemed right live. I don't think the force was all that high, there was no hand between the legs (key metric when looking at a tipping action) and you can see on the still he doesn't actually land on his head.

Finally, I mentioned comparing apples with apples in a previous comment and this is not doing so. So this next argument is more devils advocate than necessarily my or documented NRL opinion.
Yes, the potential injury itself in a lifting tackle might be far greater in a lifting tackle than hip drop but the likelihood of injury actually occuring is far greater in hip drop tackles than lifting tackles. In this respect a traditional risk matrix would probably have them fairly equal. So just as a grade 1 hip drop is a fine so is a throw.

They haven’t said if he’s out yet.
True. 3 weeks was the original non scans diagnosis. The mechanism and strength tests suggests PCL which depending on severity can be play with pain management (and typically decreased output ala Kaloamatangi) or 3-6 weeks again depending on grading of injury. Even if he plays next week, it still doesn't suggest an injury did not occur.

Api got 2 dally m points in spite of being sin binned. He has been playing as well as I can recall. He will be missed. Our yardage sets fell apart when he was in the bin, and we had Sione Fainu playing dummy half.

Anyone have the inside word on Jared Haywood? Is he ready? Featured a bit in the pre season videos.

Haywood had a blinder in Flegg on the weekend. Think they’re going slow with his development though
