Once the govt announced their money was tax free the N.R.L should have come out and stated that P.N.G will have 75% of the salary cap to maintain their roster after 3 years. Essentially that gives them a salary cap that is 50% bigger than everyone else. Also 25% of all third party agreement money is withhrld and given back to the N.R.L for grassroots football in P.N.G and Australia.

Reality is you need to pay them substantially more to get them over there...how much more is the question. Another massive perk will be the almost blank chequebook for associated cost like accom, childcare, schooling, food etc...than add untaxed tpa's is that just png companies or sponsorships they may have in Australia as well?

Just wonder though while its up and running, how much will the federal government give to keep it going like a subsidy. Im still of the beleif the biggest hurdle will always be living there. The moneys all good, i can still see guys going then after a few months or a year wanting out to come back home.

Why help the Eels? Same club that got Moses to break his contract and openly joked on live tv about getting Galvin last year while under contract to us. Did they let Stefano come to us early while he was in second grade? I wouldn’t be helping this club unless helps us get rid of a player we don’t want who is under contract past this season.
