Madden and Luai combo doesn't work.
Madden and Doueihi does.
Luai is the problem and missed 6 tackles.
Luai has been great for the mateship, culture, off field side of things but his quality playing days are over. After his stop start dancing, there are no breaks through the defence.
Yesterday's hero. 2028 can't come soon enough.

I dunno about Luai … Benji won’t be dropping him anytime soon though … so we need the best partner for him this week

I think WT should sign our centre Glassie Glassie as a matter of urgency.
Appears to have the desire, scoring tries, big body from all reports.
Try him in KOE and shuffle TO'A off to; who cares, JUST GO!
Pay some freight but get him out and create a top 30 spot for someone who contributes.
They say he has a good game about 1-2 in 20. I think he plays the same every game-----but I believe the defence has an off day against him which makes him appear he had a good game.

Iam not sure where I read it, but I think Rugby were keen on him. Anyway, size and speed is something we could do with

Our Squad is not as bad as it seems. We need an upgrade at right centre no doubt but our depth is ok. I don’t have a problem with having guys like Hope, Madden, Herbert, bunty etc. They can all play a role when needed.

The issue we face is we currently have to many injured or suspended forcing us to play our depth/reserve graders in our current 17. You can get away with 2/3 playing but 5 is just too much for any team to be competitive, especially with 3 in your spine.

Latu needs to start as he’s nrl quality. Sukkar should also be playing as while Sione is first grade standard in the middle he’s a second grader on the edge.

Certainly has the ability & physique to be an NRL player. Can play both sides too & centre or wing. Powerful, reasonably quick & skillful with the ball. Can't recall what he's like aerially. Has been prone to a poor defensive decision in lower grades but haven't seen that the past couple of weeks in Flegg.

Hopefully a T&T in '27 into Dev in '28 but given it's 2 years with the Orr's company involved I'd say it's more likely Dev in '27 into Top 30 in '28 (which is the same as Attard & Tavana).

Clips of glassie in the link above. Good to see SM extending some of the promising juniors, obviously much easier to extend than top 30 due to it being a flat fee for junior grades I assume but good signs nonetheless

Haywood, Attard. It’s an overreaction. You don’t blood kids that young when you are going backwards and have injuries out of the arse. And not only that, picking them with the expectation that they will turn the ship around. You don’t put that kind of pressure on debutants.

That's right.

But so off brand for us. I mean we bloodied Teddy that way, Moses, LB... Almost every back we have started.

Which is a stuffup from Marshall. Too much backline shuffling.... People are not forming defensive pairs.

Honestly, why not move Luai to 9.

As people are saying, with Api injured we have:
Luai
Madden
Hope
Latu Fainu

as options for Hooker.

Of the 4 above, Luai goes AWOL but can tackle. Madden would be pounded, Fainu spent most of the melbourne game in the bin and ... You have to have a lot of hope for tristan to play at the moment.

Madden deserved a couple of chances as he did the job early in the year … but Benji can’t go with the same halves combination again … Latu to starting 7 this week …

Not sure about the 9 though just yet …best option would be signing someone from elsewhere

Latu is required at 9 until Api is back. Hope is too big of a liability to carry
