Man, I can't believe you're still blowing the trumpet for Toa after all the crap performances in 1sts and cup this year, playing with no balls, maybe he could make it as a soprano opera singer.I would have toa in the team ahead of herbert
between toa and herbert absolutely pick toa.Man, I can't believe you're still blowing the trumpet for Toa after all the crap performances in 1sts and cup this year, playing with no balls, maybe he could make it as a soprano opera singer.
For mine, Herbert and Toa are a coin toss.Man, I can't believe you're still blowing the trumpet for Toa after all the crap performances in 1sts and cup this year, playing with no balls, maybe he could make it as a soprano opera singer.
who is Glassie Glassie?.....top 30?A few observations from yesterday's training pics ...
To'a in non-contact singlet
Mav Geyer features prominently in pics (good sign he's getting a run)
Tavana doing bomb catching practice on the mats
Glassie Glassie at right centre in the reserves team next to Sukkar
Toa wears that in most games he plays.A few observations from yesterday's training pics ...

You weren't watching the Cronulla game closely enough mate, running out of the line standing and watching the opposition run through instead of trying to get back and help defend. For mine, Herbert and Toa are a coin toss.
Talented junior outside back coming through the grades, has big raps on him, hope he makes it we could use another prospect.who is Glassie Glassie?.....top 30?
Good to see the club really rate Glassie.A few observations from yesterday's training pics ...

I thought it was his arm/elbow that was the issue...shoulder was a previous injury. Anyway I'm hoping so as medical retirement would not be an option if it was his shoulder as its an old injury. You weren't watching the Cronulla game closely enough mate, running out of the line standing and watching the opposition run through instead of trying to get back and help defend.
Look if his shoulder's done, get surgery, if the report's true and it can't be fixed it is time to find a new profession.
Who knows for sure man, he's constantly holding the shoulder at times and wincing, but he wears that full length sleeve as well.I thought it was his arm/elbow that was the issue...shoulder was a previous injury. I saw it and commented here about it. Herbert puts in more effort but has about the same level of effectiveness. You weren't watching the Cronulla game closely enough mate, running out of the line standing and watching the opposition run through instead of trying to get back and help defend.

Well, that should solve the debate mate, would much rather the player who's trying harder than the other guy standing around looking perplexed.I saw it and commented here about it. Herbert puts in more effort but has about the same level of effectiveness.
I think Tavana is there for his chasing of bombs. Not his kick returns or start again 10m out.The issue I have with Tavana isn't necessarily the errors he made. That was diabolical, but you can just have shockers like that. The issue is he's too small and weak in his carries on the wing. He needs to put some size on. It's why I'd rather risk Skelton who is generally more error prone, because at least he gives you some of the best yardage hitups for a back.
I think Latu may be a better match with Luai in the 7 too. Madden and Doueihi worked well because Doueihi played as a proper 6 on both sides. Luai just sits on the left and doesn't do much else, leaving Madden to take on more of the creative load than he should. Madden needs to be playing first receiver, setting our shape and digging into the line. He's not gonna create us points otherwise, except maybe off some kicks.
Have to agree. I would prefer neither Herbert or Toa, however on effort Herbert is better. Toa just seems to be completely uninterested in both the cup games and first grade games I have seen him play, and I feel that Herbert can overplay his hand a little which leads to errors.Well, that should solve the debate mate, would much rather the player who's trying harder than the other guy standing around looking perplexed.
