State of Origin 2026

Old adage is never change a winning team...
But..
Lots of issues out there
For mine..
Latrell > Crighton(by daylite)
Murray > Teo(daylite)
Haas > AFB (daylite)
Mclean >Koula as a winger(daylite)
Moses >Strange (by not a lot)
OK to give T'oo another chance
I'd keep Koula but move him to centre with Critta on the bench with McLean on the wing. Critta was ordinary last night.

Hudson Young id replace with Angus Crichton or Dylan Lucas. Young missed 9 tackles last night. 7 in the first half alone which gifted Qld points

Critter was been average for a year not the same player

What I don't get about QLD is their players always lift in Origin but are never as good for their club teams
Just following the tradition of Arthur Beetson in the inaugural State of Origin in 1980 when he was nearing the end of his playing career and being selected from a Parramatta reserve grade side to become a State of Origin Legend.

How many times have Queensland come back from what seemed an almost impossible deficit to win a game and series and done it against 13 players?

Oh, and for all the Teddy detractors, no way Edwards scores the try that Teddy wins the game with.
But maybe Edwards wouldn’t have butchered the earlier opportunity with a 5 on 1 overlap

I thought it was 50/50..but seeing the slowmo replay it looked terrible, and if we dont crack down on this stuff there wont be NRL in 2040
The ambulance chasing lawyer's will have a field day
Yep. I think it's clear as day the shoulder smashes him in the head. Yes, they also clashed heads but that doesn't eliminate the shoulder to head.
So I think Tucker and others calling it a head clash are wrong.
I do tend to agree most footy players know you walk on the field knowing it's a contact sport and shit happens. It's not so much that I am for the sanitization of the game but unfortunately as you allude, I'm not sure there is a game long term without it.

If it had been a club game, his charge that he got last night would be 2 weeks with an early guilty plea
Agree with you C but it wasn’t an NRL game so that point is moot.
Anyway, it is what it is, on with the show.
And we still know there are different rules for rep games !

The thing is the NRL preaches clean safe football and then applies different standards to different levels of the game. They are leaving themselves very open to lawsuits both to players getting serious injury and players receiving harsh penalties for lesser offences.I am sure many of us old blokes can remember when Dennis Tutty took the governing body to court (and won) over unfairness being applied in the game and imho it will only take one player to do it in regards to enforcement/punishment of foul play and all hell will break loose.
You have to have consistency to keep your credibility in professional sport.
