I am happy with Averillo but there is absolutely no way we are paying 675k a season before even locking Fainu's up (supposedly need to release players to do so).

Unless Samuela gets offered crazy money elsewhere too good to refuse I can’t see him leaving man , I’m sure the club is working hard behind the scene to secure him

Nah man . I don’t think so . Godinet is starting to really do damage at flegg level , and as his body matures , and he gets older that rapid growth could be and probably will be exponential.
A big offseason , and he would be knocking on the door come February next year .
It will be interesting as the club tip toes him into KOE the next few months . Same with Duncombe , JTM and others .
Roberts is getting the same treatment right now in the nrl team . There’s 2 right there , although the story with Roberts is he will end up in the middle one day . But that could be a couple of years away.

I think quite a few people said similar at the start of this year with Geyer, Seyfarth and Roberts and it hasn't been great so far.
Godinet looks excellent but I don't want to rush juniors.

We have Saukuru who could certainly play a similar role.

We should definitely pass on these two, unless we can get them for 200k and they come with a long to prove. Id rather them than Craig or kit

If Hunt is moved on, IMO ------Saukuru @ 115kg, 21 yrs, could easily replace Hunts split 20 min. cameos in the second row. With the option of wing. Scores a lot of tries in both positions. Knows the way to the line.

Saukurus best position is second row even though he is playing wing, Benji doesn't seem to have much interest in him, so I doubt we will re-sign him.

Might be, but our issue has always been depth IMO. I hope we are budgeting for decent back up players.

I thought Roberts was exactly as promised . Line breaks offloads , big hits . Just obviously first game he’s gonna be a step or 2 out of place , and he was playing in front of a shit fullback (sorry Masson) so his poor positioning , I don’t think will be there on Sunday . I think Geyer ends up in the middle btw with Roberts on the edge , after 20-30 mins

Exactly what I was thinking, could be seen as a bargain in a couple of seasons, but then we never really find out the finer details until much later when they quite often leave us shaking our heads in disbelief.

Until then I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

It’s gunna be what’s it’s gunna be with Averillo … looks like the decision has been made so we will just have to hope it works out for the best .. he won’t be the 6 I wouldn’t imagine unless he is the best option … which to me is not a given

How long has Saukuru been in the top 30 and hasn't been given a 1st grade debut, reports from reserve grade have been hot and cold over the past few seasons.

Benji has never hesitated with a player's age when he thinks they are ready/capable, makes you wonder why he hasn't been given a shot size wouldn't be the problem.
