If bennett couldn't get anything out of Schuster there's no way Marshall will, and Toupo leaves here, struggles at the dolphin, then same at Easts, so our genius of a coach think he's a must to get back here, any wonder we are a bottom 4 roster year after year

The reality is no one can be helped unless they want to be. Hopefully Josh has turned a corner and Benji can be a mentor.

The name of the coach means very little - its all on Schuster and his head space imo

If the Club does welcome back Tupou hopefully he will bust his arse and play his heart out in an effort to prove himself not only to the Tigers but to any of the expansion clubs in the next few years or even the Super League.
However I think this will be his last shot at first grade with an established club.

From memory, we didn't want to lose him but we didn't want to match the Dolphins offer.

This may be last crack in the NRL and with a guy like Benji, he may actually have a crack.

Pretty good back up option tbf, especially if he can reach his potential.

I thought Tigers always rated Tupou. Yes he had some clangers in him (mostly handling if I recall correctly) but he was very young when he was here. Always had good carries in my opinion. He hasn’t kicked on at Phins or Chooks but I think he has potential from what I saw of him during his time here. I am ok with it for the right price and not top 30.

He got a top 30 NRL contract out of nowhere Rugby, at 18 or some such.
He earnt nothing, and I feel (Unfortunately) that's become his base line...
He may well have all the talent in the world, His body language during a contest
I don't see much better coming from him.

Woolf (the Current Tonga Coach) was also a factor in him going to the Dolphins.
He can't play for a coach he went to play for, And one of the best coaches in the game
I don't see him coming back to a club that gave him something for nothing and making good.

After Josh’s signing and Benji’s press conference on Friday, it’s evident that he’s all about being a mentor and offering unfulfilled talent a second chance.

I have a feeling that this will be his legacy going forward. It might not always work out, but it’s admirable.

I can answer the second part …they train with the NRL team 1 day per week

of a go there is troubling me.
As for Schuster the benefit for us , is that we dont pay him anything
and he has proven in the past that he has got what it takes to play with the big boys.
I hope both turn out to be brilliant players , but at the moment its just hope.

Someone was saying the other day that after he played for Australia he should have gone after a long term big contract when his stocks at all time high but apparently his manager wanted more so he sign a 1 year contract with the Broncos hoping to get more later

He turned down offers from other clubs at the time

A developement deal suits well. Then that will put it all up to him to earn a top 30 deal.

Reserve grade train 3 to 4 days a week.
The nrl first grade squad train 4 to 5 days a week
That can change though depending on game day turn-around.
And because obviously the koe cup side is the feeder side for our
NRL side , they do train together at times aswell.

Of course he does. It’s called negotiation.

It’s up to the club to decide if they want to accept that and sign him.

He’s already on a guaranteed top 30 contract for the next 18 months for the Roosters. He could just choose to stay.
