Agreed, but I doubt clubs had the cap to fit in a 1.2 million player as a last minute june 30 signing.
Plus none of that needs to happen if we don't allow him to negotiate with PNG until November 1 in the first place.
the way it seems to be working out listening to the chit chat here ,Romeys money just gets sunk into propping up the ship to move forward 2 more spaces ,until it catches up with us to upgrade maybe Jovan n Latu ,and we do the whole balance the salary cap again. I want as a supporter for those 2 kids to do next year in Reggies , get Nikorema , O Sullivan or Humphries in the side to saddle up with Dougyhowser for another low placed spot at worst ,then set those 2 kids free .Jovon doesn't have the mentality , and Latu the physic ,yet . No he’s saying they front loaded 200k from luai to this season cap . So now his next season contract is 1mil instead of 1.2m . And the eels are taking care of 700-800k of the 1mil . So we are paying luai 200-300k . It’s not 500k.
My guess is all the journos have done is contracted the eels and asked how much they’re chipping in , and run with that answer .

That's still 400-500, just a different accounting treatment. That forward loading space could have been used for anyone.
Lets hope it's more around 300 with 100 frontloaded
