Always was the Riff. Lived there since a toddler to my early twenty’s so have always had a connection with the area and watched every Balmain v Penrith game there with my old man as a kid, so holds a special place for me given he’s no longer with us.

I’m Cincinatti Bengals. Much like the Wests Tigers over the past couple of decades. Got one of the best quarterbacks when he is not injured & wide receivers. Like WT, owner issues are regular & jury still out on the coach. Superbowl incoming though in 26/27 🙏

At least the Bengals make the semis every few years despite being in a tough division,keeping Burrow healthy should be their prime objective.

My 2nd was always the Rabbitohs, for many years until we moved to the Mid Nth Coast just over 10 years ago, so now our "local team" (2.5hrs away) Newcastle is my second favourite team, though I do have a soft spot for the Bunnies.

Rabbitohs fans marched with Western Suburbs fans when the NRL tried to boot us out of the competition & came to OUR games (Western Suburbs & Wests Tigers) while they didn't have a team in the competition to support.

Those pricks were instrumental in creating the Super League schism & were ready willing & able to either "merge" with (in reality a hostile take over of) Western Suburbs or to pick through the corpse of the Magpies & absorb their best players & juniors territory.

As for Parra? They were ready to become "The Tigers" by doing a similar thing as Canterbury did to Western Suburbs, a virtual take over. There'd be no more games at Leichhardt, the team would be nominally called the Parramatta Tigers & would still have worn a predominantly blue & gold uniform.

Penrith? I really don't begrudge them having the success they have had, I lived in Rooty Hill most of my young life Panthers Territory. Brian To'o went to the same High School (RHHS) as I did back in the 80s. I even played for Rooty Hill RSL RLFC, a Penrith Juniors club.

However I could never be a Panthers supporter as I didn't like their colours (they WERE brown & white) I didn't like Penrith the town (though it has somewhat improved and my son lives there) and there was always a bit of animosity between groups of us young guys mainly from Rooty Hill, parts of Mt Druitt & Nth St Mary's regularly in getting into physical fights with the group of guys from Penrith, Tregear, South St Mary's, Wilmot, Minchinbury, St Claire etc
It wasn't a "gang" thing, there was no specific name for our groups nor any heirachy but there were some serious fights & serious injuries in some clashes which could sometimes spill over at a Penrith - Magpies game at Penrith Park.

There'd be quite a large group of mainly guys (a few girls though) who come from Rooty Hill, Eastern Creek, Mt Druitt & Nth St Mary's, coordinating & hopping on the same train at 3 stations taking up nearly every seat down the bottom of the carriage singing chants all the way to Lidcombe Oval.
