What I can’t understand is why they have to up the punishment an extra week just because a team challenges a suspension and loses that challenge. If the challenge is unsuccessful why not just leave the suspension as it was in the first place? That’s already the punishment that was handed down. Adding an extra week to a suspension simply because the challenge is unsuccessful is just so pedantic and quite childish really. Who makes this shit up?

Ultimately it’s about trying to limit everyone having to get off the lounge on a Tuesday night, they’d much prefer you just take your medicine.
Yes - it's absolute BS. They just want to discourage clubs from challenging other wise the judiciary would have a line up every week.
This is how the courts work too. If you are charged with a crime you get a discount on your sentence if you plead guilty. The earlier you plead the higher the discount. Saves time and money having to deal with everyone contesting charges.

The issue is will it be the right change; selections that are best for the team?
I fully expect to see AD back to stifle the attack at 7 by trying to get outside the defender and then chip kicking too long for himself on the 5th to provide a handover in great field position (for the fifth week in a row).
FFS, Benji and AD need to do what is best for the team and shore up the centres and get Taruva back on the sting. It is "team first" after all!
With Sam F and Ethan Roberts running the right lines and a half (Andrews) straightening the attack we can potentially score more points in this game than we have in the last month

It’s a deadset joke .. all he did was get too low and Thompson ran over the top of him .. it’s just a bad position to be in so to get 3 weeks for a leg tackle is insane.. I keep saying that or Thompson had of knelt his own balance and mate a break it would be a missed tackle to Latu and a break to Canterbury .. the aholes at the judiciary should realise hat what is Latu responsible for the balance of a tackle he missed and a runner that went over him for FFS .. I hate these snakes with a passion .. corrupt frauds , if it were the broncos or the Storm with an origin half it wouldn’t even have been charged .. Reese Walsh would have been celebrated for “putting his body on the line” .. it’s a joke ,, OZTAG

100 % this .. Douhei is definitely a part of the team but he is not a 7 .. he is a centre that can kick , like Burton , for the good of the club this needs to be accepted because we do have young halves that can do the job and create time and space for the outside men.. I cannot bare to watch another game with douhei at 7 and Turuva at centre when we make no breaks at all outwide .. seriously if the coaching staff cannot see this and adjust accordingly then I have not hope for the future of this team at all ..

I’m okay with the Latu decision. If he gets off nothing changes and he’ll continue to tackle with his head and likely ruin his career.

In the immediate term 100%; however, in the linger term I think AD as a centre is a liability due to his poor lateral movement. If he could address that he has the makings of a good centre. I would still like to see him developed, or at least trialled, as a 13. In the middle his lateral deficiences are not as easily exposed. The key requirement is "heart"; does he have it in him to take that developmental step and toil away in defence.
He doesn't have to play the game like Yeo or try to be Cam Murray - he isn't either of those players. He can by an X/Y runner through the middle, an alternate fullback on the opposite side of the field to Bula, and be a ball distributor as required.
With Bula and one side and AD on the other we could have a potent, rapidly switchable point of attack that keeps the oppositon defence stretched as they have to cover both sides of the ruck. We could play Latu one side Javon/Schuster the other and fullback either side with Api running the middle. Why do we have to try and emulate others - we have strenghts - lets use them!
AD needs a big off season with a focus on developing our unique attacking style while he plugs the centre corridor in defence.
