Adam Doueihi #227

Absolutely.
Players such as Douehi and Twal and based on yesterdays actions you could probably include Seyfarth, are the true heartbeat of the club and if they are disrespected which extends to fans forming opinion without knowing the full story, the club might as well fold.
Why does the club need to fold? Cant we just get new owners like we've all be asking for?

Who is having a wager that even if Benji & the club are in the right we will have to pay a large part of his contract to play somewhere else. They simply cannot pay a cent if he wants out. But we know how this plays out.

Sounds like it’s case of “It’s him or me” from Doueihi. Not often I think it’s the player you go with in this instance, but how do you choose Benji over him? He’s going to be gone in 12 months anyway.
I'm not going to back someone who refuses to play for the team when it's really struggling, regardless of how the coach is going.

He looks alright in the halves when the team's flying but can he dig them out of a hole when they are under the pump, his contribution is to hog and run sideways stinking up the outside attack.

As upsetting it is for us fans seeing this constant turmoil annually unfolding, nip it in the bud tomorrow and if the result is bugger off Adam, so be it.

It’s going to keep happening as long as this kindergarten coach is in charge with a bunch of buffoon yes men, who are no threats to his job ad assistants.

Whatever happens , we the long suffering Wests Tigers fans will never get the truth about the whole situation because the club really doesn’t care about the fans. Just like the firing & rehiring of the independent board, the resignation of Richo, the refusal of some board members to return, the constantly changing excuses as to why & the cherry on top the huge extension of a rookie coach. We had to hear who the new board are on this forum from the CEO because the club doesn’t seem to care enough to explain anything to the peasant supporters. Just another page of the script of Days of Our Lives- Wests Tigers edition. We are the joke of the NRL but the long suffering fans are not laughing.
Krissy this has nothing to do with independent boards or Shane Richardson. This about a player not wanting to play in the position he was asked to by his coach. If you know anything about team sport this is a no no. This all on Adam and in my opinion unforgivable.

I wouldn't pay 1 cent if he wants to move on, if he refuses to play at lock as it looks to be the contentious argument, then sack the fool.

Players are not bigger than the club, especially career losers.
In my opinion you are missing the full story.
Normally I would 💯 agree that yes no player is bigger than the club, but what has been building up and what directly led to this recent issue involving Doueihi has to be considered if revealed by Doueihi himself.

What were his assistants supposed to tell him, no Benji 22 points in 4 weeks is more than acceptable. Stick with the halfback who can’t generate points, or find touch with his kicks.

There was nothing wrong with Benji’s decision to move AD to the middle.

Other clubs mediate, or in worst case scenarios, stand their ground and say “see you in Court”. Us, on the other hand roll over cos we are totally spineless

Exactly.. douhei is the common denominator of 6 years of terrible results . I realise he has been injured and not playing all the time and I have always rated twally but he has not played like he was earlier in the season of late either .. if they do not want to be here then bye because it’s not as if they are proven winners that are irreplaceable.. I hope Twal stays but douhei can leave now after this weeks shenanigans. It’s unforgivable and he has lots of previous form

Unfortunately, I can believe the part about Benji having double standards when it comes to certain players.

Luai for starters, who Benji bends over backwards to accommodate despite helping ruin our season so he could make even more money that he certainly hasn’t earned with his 3-4 great games in two seasons.

Or Madden who was allowed to stink it up for weeks because he strung together a couple of good games and was repeatedly chosen over our supposed future halfback, Latu Fainu.

Or Makasini, who has literally cost us games this season with basic child errors, has done nothing to earn the minutes he’s had yet was nearly always first picked until the Canberra game.

Or how about Terrell May, who has been a turnstile in defense for the last 4-5 weeks and has had some of the most pathetic tackle efforts I’ve seen, yet is repeatedly selected to start.

Those are just off the top of my head. AD is a sook who deserves to have his contract torn up but that doesn’t mean the grievances weren’t accurate

This whole story is starting to feel a bit manipulated. It’s changed from mediation to the nuclear option of Douiehi walking out? And suddenly the journos are all over it?. I feel (yet again) that WTs are being played. I am not denying there was a spark with Douiehi’s actions but the spark has turned into a bushfire with someone fanning the flames.
