Not as bad as what happened to the jets when they moved out there.
40 plus years it's been the biggest growth area in Australia. Over 40 years it's been where clubs go to die
I have lived in Ingleburn 36 years my area has changed and diversified with many different cultures now living in the area, seen suburbs arise and seen them flourish, and if West Tigers could actually tap into that correctly then we will grow. We do halfhearted promotions in the area but we need to be more active. Realign with the region. Do training out at Narellan, Picton, Liverpool show up, more family day events, have a food market some of the game day at Campbelltown, more school visits, have players help coach local high schools. We have step forward this year but does not mask that lack over the 10-15 years. We can still play a few games at Leichardt every year but Campbelltown should be our home and base not Concord. Macarthur is where the growth is. Reason we dont get the community engagement is because Wests Tigers have neglected the region for 25 years. We need to get in there and claim it now. Richo when he was here said that the clubs future was the Macarthar coridor. Make no mistake if we dont get ourselves implanted in the region properly and he gets the CEO gig at St George Illawarra, he and other club leaders will take the best prospects we have coming through the region leaving us the dregs. We should have moved out there instead of Concord.
