Dragons have tried their guts out every week. You could count on one hand the times they've dropped their head and stopped competing and in each of those occasions they competed for the first 50-60 minutes of those games.
Other teams, us, Titans, Broncos, Eels, even cowboys at times have not shown up even intending to compete but simply just going through the motions.
I know which is sides are easier to criticise and which are easier to support.

Have Dragons been the worst performed team for the duration of the season, no doubt. And they in all likelihood will get the spoon as a result.
Have they performed with the attitude of a team that 'deserves' the spoon. In my opinion, No. There's four others I would have well ahead of them.

At this stage they have won 3 games all season (from memory we won 4 in our worst spoon years) and their points differential is currently the worst by far and still 50 worse than even us (could change after we play Roosters and Penrith).

A good attitude only goes so far.

Yes, they will should be better next year with experience gained by their younger players and good signings. However, can’t over complicate they have won 3 games so far.
 
While we’re talking about the spoon and lower level teams, I just don’t understand what’s gone wrong at the Broncos ?
Is it the Madge curse striking again ? It just seems crazy that à team can go from Premiers to Paupers in à year.
Any explanations or opinions welcomed coz I’m scratching my head. Tonight was a prime example, how does that happen ?

Hes kept it pretty calm in the pressers up til tonite ...he lost it a bit...wasnt happy at all and cut the press conference short

Injuries & inflated egos.
 
We keep getting headlines for our poor season , and so be it but the broncos are dead set way ahead of us for a shit season , they were champions last year and now down at 14/15 spot they should be in the news all day every day and we should be nowhere

We desreve a kick in the balls for missing the finals again, losing talent to other clubs, causing drama every other week, getting flogged a lot etc…a total shitshow of a season.
The Broncs have been worse though and I can’t believe their rapid fall has been met almost with sympathy.

It’s mind boggling really, but like us in 05 I think their Premiership was a fluke which they just can’t back up. We didn’t fall quite so far down the ladder in 06 though, as they have this season and they’ve had a pretty good squad for most of it barring some injuries early on.

Any team that have a winning streak of 8 games in a row and win a premiership is not a fluke, it happens because the team was of high quailty.

We finished in 11th after winning the comp in 2005, and have fluctuated between 9th and last place ever since.

There's some interesting management decisions since then with HBG.

100%. If the NRL were serious they’d kick this club out of the comp.
Totally incapable of keeping up with rival clubs, totally incapable of acting like a professional franchise. Constantly fighting amongst themselves. Pretty awful brand of football to watch when on TV and Channel nine gives lots of Sunday 4pm games due to our audience but they regularly just drag the product down.
It’s a miracle we still exist.
 
Still on the cards till it’s not we ate pathetic in America but f you lose to a team twice you lose the split we deserve the spoon and broncos another shit team we couldn’t beat either
