I’d pay 1m for either of them. Both are class, tough and smart footballers. All of which we lack

We have signed about 96 players since the thread started

Whilst that is fun, isn't it also fairly common amongst NRL clubs? Most players don't last at the same team 10 seasons.

Even Tedesco, "Roosters stalwart" wasn't playing for them in 2017 when this thread began.

It seems we have stuffed our cap again til 2030, so with that goes any glimmer of hope.

If I was in charge I would be trying to flick every player we re-signed before their value depreciates and re-build this club from the ground up. I am sure PNG and Bears would take them.

Get Gus to do the job. He has overstayed his visit at the Dogs, and is probably the only person that can come in here and turn this around.

It's not even that our recruitment is terrible. It's that our culture is so engrossed in failure that everyone who joins the club instantly becomes infected with failureitis

Gus only ever goes to clubs that have a big junior catchment, lots of money or preferably both. Which makes the odds of him coming to the tigers very remote.

The PNG effect - every player using them to drive up their value. Clubs will either have to stand firm or risk losing some of them targeted by PNG. The more PNG recruit the more their appeal to those who were unsure about whether they would be competitive. The money the icing on the cake.

Reynolds was taking the piss. We talk about players that you still find hard to believe played for us. You think of names like Anasta, Idris etc. Josh Reynolds is another. Was so out of place at our club.

I have to disagree.. he played with his heart here, was just unlucky to get a few injuries that kept him from the field.. and he took a pay cut to leave and help our cap from memory?
