Tough call by coach when the first grade halves did nothing in the semi

Throw it around with no idea, rhyme or reason...probaby what well see with the same attack coach...but its garbage

if they get it right , its the only way to break down excisting D structure, the game is boring
Forwards started well and we blah blah
Seems like our future is locked up in Coach Benji and the fan squad of players n assistants
happy daze.
whist on a rant i'd also just mention that the roosters club is stacked with x players across many position in all grades -go figure , our guys aren't good enough ? lol
Club actually seems 4 ,1's ,2 b getting its shite together

Based on his last season (2026) he has rarely started and his club is openly trying to get rid of him
I know many won't agree with me , but that classes him as a fringe player .....again a pretty good one....but still a fringe player

So Dane Gagai is still the same player as 2018 .... DCE the same in 2015

You can't base your career in what you did 5 seasons ago

Your form is a year to year proposition

But this is getting off the point

A fringe player isn't starting 5 games a year

Gagai and DCE certainly not fringe first graders this year (even if their best form was in previous seasons). They played whenever they were available

I wouldn’t call Averillo a fringe first grader. In a top team he probably is. Hence his role this year at the Phins. Had he stayed, he’d have had to rely on an injury to get a start. At a club like ours, he’ll be in the side every week. And may even be one of our better players.

I’m interested to see how he goes in a team that he’s a good chance of playing NRL every week. I don’t know but he seems like a worker so hopefully he keeps improving his game and becomes a good NRL player.

Stuck behind representaive players at Dolphins..our good fortune ,altho were paying accordingly
6 is probably his best,but weve got plenty of contenders...we need a speedy centre desperately,so...

I would say that Kodi Nikorima was only a fringe FGer before going to the Dolphins - a bit of a journey man who played mainly off the bench at three other clubs. Let's hope Averillo plays his best footy at West's Tigers when given the chance to cement his position.

And to be fair to Jake the dolphins backline is all origin or test rep level players

Seriously Averillo is the type of player we have been hoping for. He has speed and a good skill set, can cover multiple positions and at centre is soooo much better than Toa or Herbert or Saukuru or Tito or whoever else we have trotted out recently.
If he plays on the right side with KPP inside him it should help his perceived shortcomings in D as well. Pace is a big aid in D as a centre - it allows for a player to recover from being a little out of position or being stood up.
