Tureva was a great finisher last season..exceeded expetation when confronted by difficult situations and still crossed the line
Not so great this year,but played a lot at FB and centre..and carrying injuries
Great clubman and character

Definitely wld not write him off

He's never been a 'great' finisher. He is pretty good at getting low and keeping his balance to get over the line when given a little bit of space close to the line. But that is his only move. Great finishers have other options eg. Speed to burn someone on the outside, power to run through defenders, a kick target, acrobatics to leap out/over defence but still ground the ball inside the touch line. He's got none of that.
I don't really like assessing players simply on tries scored as it ignores the work done inside them. So I will not bag him for not crossing the line too much this year. But playing centre shouldn't be used as an excuse for not scoring tries. If he had some of those other attributes I'm sure he'd have scored more.
As for great clubman and character. Maybe, hard to assess from the outside. He does seem to be a bit of an energy guy lifting spirits around the locker room. He also seems to lose his cool and want to fight everyone when things aren't going his way.
I definitely stick to the overpaid and overrated opinion but he is also by no means out of place in first grade. Probably on about 100k to much for what he offers but will rarely cost the team a game.

Geez if Schiller was only offered a T&T and given we only have 26/30 players contracted that we officially know of makes me think we could have another 3 or 4 of Sukkar, Mason, Afoa, Aho, Taupau-Moors, Godinet & Murray on top 30 deals but have not been officially announced.

Surely Schiller would be a better top 30 than Mason?

Nope .. Haywood was the Australian schoolboys hooker , TDS wasnt , Heywood played in the winning schoolboys team in yr 12 and also made the team in year 11 that came second to Galvin led team , lost in dying moments .. Jared makes every team he plays in better in attack as he controls the ruck , delivers brilliant service and is as much a running threat as TDS every day of the week ..

Look forward to seeing that form in NRL against grown men

We got a glimpse of Heywood mid season..jury out..its still early days but sensible to have options..Manese cld be one of those options

He does his best and tries hard with his yardage carries, but he simply doesn’t have the right physical attributes to be an elite player.
He is short, not a good vertical leaper, not overly confident in the air, not real quick off the mark, not quick over a long distance and very rarely makes a line break.
To make matters worse it looks like we are again content to just hand him an NRL jersey every week and not sign any genuine competition for his right wing spot.
Mark us down to once again be the most boring and predictable team and score the least points in the NRL in 2027.

He's the least of our issues..
