renshaw would still have to be in the top 6 batsmen, worth persisting with
things are grim.
however new zealand without Williamson will be interesting
white ball cricket now for awhile, great preparation for aussies and kiwis for test matches lol

Need to find another opener and move Head back to #5. Against NZ I'd forego a sixth bat, play Carey at #6 and play four quicks with the spinner.
 
I felt too disgusted to immediately comment
However so much went wrong
The toss decision to protect a fragile batting line up ranks as one of the worst ever
Fact is Cummins and Hazelwood were very innocuous
Lyon was ok but bowls 30 + overs with almost every ball identical
The SA spinner totally out bowled our "Goat "
Lyon is batting better than bowling
Starc as usual was great
Now our batting
Head and Renshaw and Inglis were very good
Marnus has failed too many times and hope he can resurrect his career at State level .
Carey really must change his style and stop reverse sweeping
Connolly is a T20 star who is not even close to test standard
For a long time we can't play spin
Its time to reward our best performing Shield cricketers
Green who has talent batted a 12 over period without scoring 1 run and had Starc and Cummins protecting him from Harmer .That is gutless
So much was gutless .The Toss decision ,Smith sitting out and the way we batted in that 2nd innings !
Shameful Embarrassing !
NZ and India are red hot favourites in the series coming up
Don't think Capt Pat should lead and he needs to concentrate on improving his bowling
Dark Days ahead !

Probably should’ve played more tests with his natural talent, but it was fun watching just the same.

Thanks for that 200 in the WC.
He saved that WC for us. I watched every game not just ours, but every single game, and going into that game we had been the worst. We were about to loose again and get punted until Maxy slayed them all night long. It was an amazing innings to watch and I’ll never forget it.

Yeah I was checking his stats again after that ton the other day, 7/100, 14/50 and ave of 39 at 27. Could be a good option, needs to keep scoring.
The national team issues have put some real interest into the shield comp, people who rarely talk cricket are asking what I think about this and that and who they reckon is next up.
It needs to be televised, instead of 10yo block re-runs.

does not happen in any other sports bar the cricket where the odds are consistently unders in australia
How could south africa be outsiders to win the test series at home to begin with, weight of money

Bring on the Poms in the ODI

Bring on the Kiwis in tests
Bring on India in tests

At present the $3 england to win the centenary test looks tempting however not sure about the poms and test cricket over here so not with any confidence for me however they could fluke it i guess.
ODI's are abit of a lottery along with T20

Expect that price to shorten if kiwis win the test series this summer
