Oh yeah there’s only one roster spotFor 2028 in respect of Cleary ..,
I doubt tbey got much money left next year … without moving on someone like AD
Fogarty would be for next year, the $1.8m offered was for 2028 and would’ve depended on a few off contract playersIf they’ve got the cap space to offer $1.8m at Cleary I don’t think they care what Doueihi does
Yeah mb I thought Fogarty was for 2028Fogarty would be for next year, the $1.8m offered was for 2028 and would’ve depended on a few off contract players
I was replying to the comment about how he already confirmed he’s staying at the Panthers. If that’s the case, then the offer was rejectedWhere does it say we got rejected ?
PNG got rejected .
It’s after November 1 , do you think other clubs haven’t enquired about the NRL’s best player ?
The one in Bondi is cashed up for a number 7 in 2028 .
Bite their hand offSEA EAGLES SHOP STAR TO TIGERS
Wests Tigers have been offered Manly half Jamal Fogarty as the Sea Eagles salary cap continues to bite.
This column reported last week that the Sea Eagles needed to re-jig their roster with a host of players potentially up for grabs.
One of those players is Fogarty, who is just one year into a three-year contract. The Sea Eagles believe they have three starting halves in their ranks in Fogarty, Luke Brooks and rising star Joey Walsh.
Brooks was offered the chance to move on but he is still recovering from a knee injury. Manly’s season nose-dived when Brooks was sidelined with some believing a Brooks-Walsh partnership could serve the club better until young ace Onitoni Large is ready to play regular first grade.
Walsh and Large are among the rising stars the Sea Eagles consider off-limits.
The Tigers have ruled out making a move for Fogarty – who turns 33 next month — but they could be tempted if Manly covered a large chunk of his $700,000 contract.
The Tigers are already paying ex-skipper Jarome Luai about $500,000 to play for the Eels next year.
Adam Doueihi will be one starting half next season for the Tigers while his partner remains up in the air with the likes of new recruit Jake Averillo, Jock Madden, Javon Andrews and Latu Fainu.
Fogarty is a better classical halfback than Doueihi, I don't think its close...
Except Fogarty has played finals recentlyAnd Fogarty can kick goals and field position. An almost like for like swap with Doueihi if he is moving on.
It's not close as far as organisation and kicking, Fogarty is one of the better halves in the league at this.. He is also absolutely no running threat and offers minimal creativity.Fogarty is a better classical halfback than Doueihi, I don't think its close...
We’ve probably knocked it back because Cleary is coming 👌He must have a chronic injury or something...at 33 its only short term but weve knock.it back eh?
All this number 7 talk the last 16 hours....hope we do get someone genuine in the 7.
Fogerty and Latu tho is an interesting prospect...the more i think about it the more.appealing it is
