Seeing him play schoolboys, he was that player similar to Victor Radley, Cameron Murray, etc. leg power was one of his biggest assets and he knew how to use it. Which is why again I wonder if it was a case of our system not working or if it was something else
Chris Faagutu has never been the biggest bloke on the park even from juniors. So to say he got found out when everyone else grows up is a reach. Especially considering the accolades that Chris has had in schoolboy rugby. Living in Brisbane for a short period of time for work, he was one of the...
Very shocking regarding Fa’agutu. Been a big advocate of his from the games I’ve seen him play this year. Always ran hard and was an aggressive defender in the middle for us. Hope this one doesn’t come back and bite us and hope he does get picked up by another club cos he was a special talent
They might have a half dozen props as good as Faagutu, but they have no depth in the lock forward position after Carrigan and there was a reason why he was classed as one of the best lock forwards in QLD
It’s been a pleasure watching these guys when I got the chance to. But moving forward I hope we keep the likes of Haywood, Large, Kanaan, Makasini, Taotua and Johannssen all in Flegg moving forward. These kids at their age have showed they can play and not look out of place in this age group
Appreciate it that but I honestly think if we keep these kids from what I’ve seen we won’t be as bad in first grade in the next coming years honestly. The crop of juniors we have are some of the best there is so we’re kinda just waiting now
POY for me would have to be Chris Faagutu (even though he spent time on the sideline he was our best forward everytime he played), or Zak Clarke
Bailey Hodges, Vaka Aho & Cayne Nicholas are tough ones since they spent majority of their time in nsw cup on the back end
Another player that who I...
This is what happens when there’s no accountability all year from the coaching staff. When there’s no accountability we become complacent.
From early in the season what should’ve happened was if you play shyte for two consecutive games, you get dropped to Reggie’s regardless of price tag. Then...
I think he’s one we will regret letting go. I know we had to free up space somewhere but the kid is special. The few games I’ve seen him play he had ball skills for a tall lanky kid. Maybe manly see something him similar to a Tommy turbo
I don’t think Manly will beat the dogs, Eels and Sharks have been just as inconsistent as us so those are up for grabs. I say we’d need to put a beating on the Silktails and sharks to lose to have a chance
