    Cricket Season Thread

Copeland in for bollinger and were set. No way that batting order goes any worse. Lately I shudder any time a young batsmen gets a ton in shield cricket, thinking whose career cricket australia will ruin next…. _Posted using RoarFEED 2013_

    Fifita, Teo and Hoffman

Fair call, but keep in mind groat is only now the same age as fifita was when he made his debut, so a comparison between the two is a little premature.

Frank Pritchard linked to the tigers Robbie Farah to re sign

There is no point going out splashing cash in a panic just because Pritchard is the best of a pretty average crop of players available for next year. Pritchard is not going to make us a competitive team, by the time we are competitive he will be older and probably lazier than he is now. I hope...

Dud Buy Of The Season '13

Easy to say in hindsight but even if Williams wasn't playing poorly Canterbury already have a massive, mobile pack without him. They need someone to play big minutes, tidy up around the ruck to balance their pack. they lost stag and although he offered nothing in attack, he did a job for them...

We need an innovator, not a copycat

You can't guarantee that innovations are going to be successful or popular. Most innovations don't work. Sheens was one of the better innovators and we all know how that went. Would probably say that most competitions aren't won by innovators but by teams that execute simple skills very well...

Farah loyal to NRL's Tigers: teammate

I'm not sure if Robbie will stay or go but I find it weird that journos play up the relationship between Farah and Stuart. This is the same guy who only picked Farah due to injuries to Ennis and Buderus. Even if Robbie doesn't hold a grudge he would surely have to question Stuart's judgement...

Wests Tigers NSW Cup team to play Jets

adrian ha'angana could be a good pickup, strong back rower, played (captained?) for souths nyc team in 2011\. was released at the same time as james roberts. if he trains well he will challenge for first grade this season or next.

Leave Sironen at six, urges his NRL dad

It was the journo who decided that siro was "imploring" sheens to do anything. All siro said was that he wanted Curtis to stay in the six for the next few years if his form was good enough. for all we know he could hav said that curtis should play six for the next few years until his body fills...

Wests Tigers have an identity crisis

Lol at digging up a Benny Elias quote from 2006, Curtis must hav been saving that one up for a while. Investing in the southwest should b a good thing for the region and the club, not sure it was necessary to turn the story into a dig at managment. \ \ _Posted using RoarFEED 2012_

    GROAT???

Groat is only now about the same age as woods was when he debuted, and from memory woods wasn't starting games this early into his career. Fitness is something that's just gonna come from getting more game time and a few more off seasons under his belt, not something that's inherently wrong with...

RLW Predicted Finishes for this season

    Mason Poll

Even if he were a complete angel both on and off the field (doubtful) in his time at the club, the media would be following him like a bad smell, waiting for him to slip up. this exposes all of the tigers players to unnecessary media attention which turns minor indiscretions into back page news...
