I was being amusing. I am, after all, the funniest person I’ve ever met. The only branding I support is Wests Tigers. The reggies Magpies should be branded Wests Tigers for consistency, given they are formed from Balmain, Wests and several other pathways programs.
All this hoo ha about a hand gesture. It’s hardly a complex issue. Real issues are ignored by journos such as the systemic corruption of the salary cap & 3rd party payments that favour top performing teams. The NRL loves this fluffy non event because the lazy journos can be counted on to run...
When a sizeable number of Dogs fans were banned for brawling a few years back they changed codes and started going to Wanderers games and carrying on the same way. Putrid is right.
That’s Aussie Rules Branding. Apples and Oranges can’t compare because Victorian cultural component is significant to brand. Not so the NSW bin chickens.
It was merely an observation about the relative marketing value of the two icons. Wests means little more than a point on the compass that also includes Parramatta, Penrith & Canterbury.
👍 apart from the mangled offerings of a couple of escapees from the short bus, the quality of discourse (and spelling) has definitely improved on here.
