Don't think Luai going could be categorised as a missed opportunity. I think his departure would have helped us secure more important players and clears the pathway for Javon and Latu.

Potential is great, but not what we need. We are easing Maka and Tavana into the team who are 18 and 21 respectively with very little experience amongst them. Although, in saying that, options seem to be very limited on the market and we need to fill our spots somehow.

He played 56 mins last week. Playing Api at 7 would have preserved a player from the interchange bench in the event Jock came back allowing us to stick to the original plan. Besides, Api’s value at 7 far outweighs Mason’s. Lanyon’s value at 9 far outweighs Mason’s value at 7. No brainer IMO

My initial impression was Api would go to halfback and Lanyon at hooker. Would have thought it was the better choice
