Overall for our first comp game we were good. Has to be noted the Cowboys were diabolical and the six again blitz by the NRL were also contributing factors. I guess we have to wait for about another five weeks to make any real judgement on how our season might pan out. Certainly looks more...
Bula is like any other player, he is worth what the market is willing to pay. Like with the housing market you only need two serious bidders at an auction to get a good result. To us Bula is probably worth more than market value as we don’t have a obvious replacement in the short term.
It willbe like every other blitz the NRL introduce. They will go crazy for a month and than ignore it. It destroys games more than any other thing they have introduced.
I think if Star was playing and Big Mac was on the wing he would have had a day out. Not having a go at the kid playing wing today, but Big Mac would have trampled his way over for about three trys
We have had 80% of the ball, partly due to our dominance and partly due to the Cowboys being diabolical. Probably should be at least another try up but a very pleasing score line.
Lots of good performances but gee I thought Twal was massive. Obviously the six and seven were outstanding but the...
Years of negativity has me worried. I get super scared when everyone is so positive. I guess it’s just a product of over half a century of watching the Tigers/Weststigers run around
If we took up Bula’s contract option for 2027 after he knocked back an extension, I have no doubt he would not tank or kick stones. Of course his manager would big time. My only concern would be his ability to perform at 100% with all the outside noise from the media and fan base.
Obviously Fallah coped a few to many head knocks. No acting board member would put their name to a post on social media like the one Fallah posted. It would have cracked plenty of laughs at training 20 years ago but we have moved on. Surly he has to be removed from the board now
Benji’s longevity at the Tigers will be determined by how willing HBG are to provide him with the capital to compete. Results are impossible long term if you don’t have a continual supply of talent coming through your pathways system, and to have this talent you need systems in place comparable...
With some luck the media will continue to highlight the HBG and their debenture system and force change. At present they are a massive anchor on the club and till they are democratically elected and held responsible nothing much will change long term
Six again rule, especially in the first month is a game killer. At the speed the game is played in hot humid conditions it’s near impossible to defend multiple sets. It would appear the brain trust at HQ has decided to put their foot down on anything that resembles slowing the ruck down.
It...
