    Jahream Bula #269

Tedesco is elite in the 1.1-1.2m range. I honestly would take Bula over Paps at this stage of their careers. Edwards is taking a paycut to win premierships and probably around the 800-900 mark as well. Turbo is agreeing to a deal between 700-800k because of the times missed. The point I'm...

It's a hard balance to strike between keeping the player happy and also not making decisions that shackle us for the future. We need to be able to keep good relationships with players and having so many messy break ups (regardless of fault) makes it harder for management IMO.

    Jahream Bula #269

Haven't read the pages here but one of the podcasts mentioned that with the mutual option, if Bula activates it before nov1, he gets $800k and if we do he gets paid $900k. If no one does, he's unsigned for 2027. End the Mexican stand off and do the deal at 850k. Get it done without dragging it.

getting so sick of this contracts BS. NRL should have a clause in there that if the player rescinds or fails to stay with the team until their contract, then they return 50% of the money they've earned. If your agent approaches the club saying we want an upgrade or that there is interest from...

    OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

He was probably good for us off the field now the way he played on it, I doubt anyone is offering him 1.2m like ours. He will be here for 5 years whether we like it or not

    PNG Chiefs

The pathways to QLD Cup would already be set up wouldn't they? I wonder if they have a feeder cup from Rockahmpton or Mackay etc to help them out too. Someone who knows more about QLD cup, how are the Kumuls sourcing/ training people at the U16s/ U18s levels? The big NRL stuff, I am actually...

    Prime Minister's XIII

That's the primary objective I feel. I don't think they care about PNG being competible for the first few years. They want to create the buzz, they want the skill levels of PNG players to improve.

    Jock Madden vs Adam Doueihi

AD is halfback/centre. He doesn't have the experience, the motor, the defensive capability, knowledge of defensive structure or the work ethic to play in the forwards. He is a completely skill based player. He can play lock for 15-20 minutes to give someone a rest, but that shouldn't be the...

    OFFICIAL Kai Pearce-Paul

I think we need to keep his role very simple. 1. get crazy fit 2. follow the defensive pattern 3. kick chase 4. kick pressure 5. scramble He's a natural with attack, it will come as he builds connection with Douehi/Latu.

    Best Lock Forward

Line speed, cover defence, leadership. I find it hard to compare spine players to non- spine players but if you take the 1,6,7,9 out- Yeo to me has been the best player I've seen in the last 15-20 years.

You learn with money as well. You are right that if we had an influx of money come our way, we wouldn't know what to do with it. But if you have consistent funds coming in for 5 years, let's say Meriton signs a 5 year sponsorhip contract at $1.5m each year, then we can make astute purchases...
