I thought the experience was good, ground announcer knew when to keep quiet. Only thing missing was a lower grade game before the NRL match.
Went to a couple of Leichhardt games last year and I found the speakers way too loud and even obstructed the view of the game.
No changes. No time to panic.
I would only bring Madden on if there is an injury, he either starts at 7 or is injury cover.
Get Latu on earlier, need him playing 50 minutes at 13 and be the link man for Luai and AD. Twal can play the same role from prop.
I get it, you’re used to losing and panicking. Luai was man of the match round 2 which was the last time he played 80 minutes.
We lost to the premiers by 1, let’s see how they go over the next few weeks before we sack our best player.
Pretty common for attack to be clunky when halves are first game back, just look at what happened to the Warriors when Metcalf came back.
Luai is the least of our problems. Need to pick either AD or Madden to partner him and keep it that way, no halves coming on unless there is an injury.
He had a rough 10 minutes, but no worse than Laulilii or Skelton. Maka’s errors just happened to be at the worst possible time.
As others have said, he’s 18 playing a position he doesn’t normally play. A break wouldn’t hurt but I can see why Benji won’t want to drop him.
To’a problem is his left arm injury. Not the same player with it and it doesn’t look like improving any time soon.
He’s way better than Herbert at his best.
Very difficult team list this week.
Taylan, Luai, Tino, Laulilii all potentially back. Injury clouds on Turuva and Sam Fainu.
I don’t have an answer but it will be interesting.
I still think Benji will keep AD and Luai in the halves and Madden will miss out.
If it was me I’d keep Jock in the 7 and find another spot for AD. Maybe right centre.
I asked ChatGPT. Apparently it was 4 wins and a draw in 2000.
Agree, defence is the biggest difference. We’ve had this in patches of a couple of games before but never this consistently.
Surely no one is suggesting dropping him. Maybe move him to the wing when Taylan is back but Maka is doing fine. 18 and will only get better with more NRL.
Good opportunity for WT to finally get 3 in a row, win as favourites and prove they can play well at Campbelltown.
I’m also not yet convinced but a win this weekend would go a long way to convincing me.
