Some much needed common sense in this post. People are fawning over Keon like he’s Payne Hass. He’s had one top shelf season under Wayne Bennett and will be 29 in his first season with us if we signed him and people want to pay him $900k. No thanks.

Agree with all that. When Ivan was here it was 5 hit ups and a Brooks bomb. But we have Benji, and like it or not that’s the style he wants.

Go back and watch Benji. Almost always the 5th tackle option was something he thought of on the spot. He's obviously coaching eyes up on the last tackle. This also likely has a lot to do with the fact that we don't have a Reynolds, Cleary, DCE style halfback at the club.

Doesn’t make good salary cap sense to go for guys coming off their break out season. Good clubs find the players that haven’t had theirs yet. Don’t see the value of Keon at $900k odd when we have May who is also a workhorse. Find a cheaper impact style prop.

So according to WT Will Craig is in our top 30 and Bunty is a development player. Very strange.

Yeah I think he’s similar level to Bunty, and Bunty is probably more the archetype prop that we’re missing and he’s probably not in our best 17. I’d keep the powder dry until there is a starting prop available.

We wouldn’t get him here for less than 600k. He’s underrated but a downgrade on Bula. Can’t afford to be stingy here, fullback is too important.

Good signing. Not the player he was but he adds depth and is exactly the style of prop we need more of.

As others have said, it’s highly unlikely Bula will get Walsh’s level. Is May going to get to Haas’s level? It’s the wrong question to ask. If Walsh was off contract now he’d easily get $1.5M and probably more. Bula would get about half of that but that doesn’t mean he’s not the best option for...

He’s only struggled at our club. Every other club from NRL, ESL, International, Origin won something. I think WT are just an outlier. You could say the same about Ivan Cleary. He couldn’t achieve success here but won multiple premierships with a star studded Penrith side.
