Fullback or wing prospect?

If we offer over $1m I assume PVL will require souths to account for the same value on their cap? Just like he was going to do with PNG and Hudson Young. (I know he won’t. People have been leaving the tigers for years on “unders” and nobody ever cares except us tigers fans).

Exactly. The key is “don’t have to”. Most players bend over backwards to join them and “take unders”. Anyway, the roosters have Toby Rodwell a very highly rated young half back who has already played some first grade.

Only on an after tax basis.

I recall Carr was a highly rated assistant before he went over to England. My memory could be off but I seem to recall us making some enquiries about him previously.

Bloody hell. Canberra Anthony Milford was unbelievable. Do we reckon this bloke will be on the bench in first grade next year?

Won’t PVL step in to ensure Souths pay “market rate” like he did with Hudson Young and PNG?

Absolute rubbish from Weidler. He should just put Isaac Moses’ name at the top of the column instead of his own.

I hope PVL reviewed all these deals to ensure they were market value, as he did with PNG’s offer to Hudson Young.

The problem Is Moses will want a payment from us as part of Douhie’s release. Which will count against the cap. We must resist this.

Also agree.

Penrith’s scrambling defence was unbelievable.

We are so lucky to get out of his 5 year contract after 2 years. I expect Benji thought all his Christmases had come at once when Jarome sought permission to negotiate with PNG.

I sat behind the posts and watched him a few times at the Knights (after he’d signed with us) and he was so good at the check and release. Your last sentence answers the question. That mental side, the “feel” for the game, the timing and spatial awareness - you either have it or you don’t imo...
