I like the Sua swap idea for Bateman.I’d take Su’a only.
Possible swap for Bateman.
No to Turuva. Too little.

I’d take the next bloke who gets off the bus at Concord as a swap for Bateman.I like the Sua swap idea for Bateman.

Doubt the Dragons do…I like the Sua swap idea for Bateman.
He is another Moses Suli at the same age….he could change as he maturesAgreed, with any signing though the price must be right. There are also plenty of reports that lead me to believe that he is not actually lazy
or unmotivated. Struggles with weight yes but not lazy.
He has regularly been a training the house down story and often dropped a lot of weight in a short time post injury related w
eight gain. He knocked back the World Cup for an extended preseason. This isn't a lazy demotivated player.
He needs to accept he will never have the body of a 6 and commit to a move to the forwards. He has already proven he can handle the physicality there having excelled there in his rookie season.
He needs education and special attention with regards to nutrition and non weight bearing exercises. His weight gain has always been when suffering lower leg injuries. A bit of professionalism from him and those around him should minimise this.
He is too young and too talented to be thrown in the scrap heap at the moment.
Turuva would be coming here to play in the centres. he's 3cm taller than Justin Olam.We already have one midget on the wing.
No evidence to show his defence would be up to scratch as a centre.Turuva would be coming here to play in the centres. he's 3cm taller than Justin Olam.
given the improvement we've seen with Faataape defensively I'm pretty confident Morris would be able to iron out any issues in Turuva pretty quickly given he is starting from a much higher ceiling. No evidence to show his defence would be up to scratch as a centre.
In saying that he’s young and runs the ball very well, so there could be worth a go.
I still think a big physical presence at right centre would be a better fit, James Schiller a name that keeps popping up, obvious Lomax with the query on value for money and another I believe is definite NRL quality but currently not getting a look in at the Titans is Aaron Schoupp.
Schiller is Brett Mullins nephew heygiven the improvement we've seen with Faataape defensively I'm pretty confident Morris would be able to iron out any issues in Turuva pretty quickly given he is starting from a much higher ceiling.
Schiller would be excellent but given the way he's played for the Raiders these last couple weeks I'd say he's pretty likely to stay there. no to Schoupp. he offers very little in attack.
He is also nephew of Wests Magpies Russell Mullins, our winger in the 70's. Family connections could work just as well for us, Roosters (other uncle Bill Mullins) or Canberra. Who knows, but at least worth asking the question to him if he's interested.Schiller is Brett Mullins nephew hey
I can't see him leaving the Raiders but you never know... a lot of that family are Newcastle based these days.
He's been a stand out this year for sure.
I'd rather SchillerJeral Skelton spent most of last season in NSW Cup getting used to his transition from rugby union, scoring plenty of tries along the way.
Watching bits and pieces of his games in NSW Cup so far this season, he looks to have gained confidence and gone to another level. He’s now regularly using his size and speed to advantage,
I believe we desperately need a big bodied winger to replace Junior Tupou and have been keen on us recruiting Seni Valemai who I’m certain is a good quality regular NRL standard winger given the opportunity, but it seems Jeral Skelton has more x-factor and upside.
I hope we are looking closely at either one of these 2 as neither will remain free agents for much longer,
When Fainu is finally fit and ready to go, I would like to see him in the 6 and Galvin to 3. Galvin reminds me very much of a young Jamie Lyon. We get to use all of our promising players and fill some areas we are lacking in.What do we think of
1. Bula
2. Laulilii
3. L Fainu (out there but stick with me)
4. Olam
5. Turuva
6. Galvin
7. Luai
8. Stefano
9. Api
10. Klem
11. Su’a
12. Bateman
13. Papali’i
14. Seyfarth (or Bud if we want a utility)
15. Pole
16. Twal
17. S Fainu
New signings
Turuva - is a good winger has a connection with Api and can play centres and fullback if needed
Su’a - probably not likely to sign but can add heaps to an already great forward pack
New players
Laulilii - although he will only be 18 the kid has talent and if he keeps holding his own in cup at 17 then we could easily see him in nrl next year
L Fainu - has never really played centre but is good defensively and we need to find a spot for him in the team somewhere
Moved positions
Papali’i - he won’t have the ball playing that we would probably like but getting him in the middle of the field could help unlock his attacking game a little bit more and we know he has the defence for it (although sometimes he misses a tackle or 2)
Pole - right now the best use for Pole is off the bench his hard running and late footwork is a nightmare for tired middles
I like it except I'd have Fainu as a 14 in the Conor Watson, Dylan Walker etc mould and look for another CentreWhat do we think of

As good as he looks to be he simply doesn’t fit into the Raiders top 17 when they are full strength.Schiller is Brett Mullins nephew hey

Nature of the beast. As good as he looks to be he simply doesn’t fit into the Raiders top 17 when they are full strength.
Raiders have 2 of the very best emerging centres in the game in Timoko and Kris, Savage and Hopoate are their preferred wingers when at full strength.
If Schiller wants to play as an NRL regular like he deserves to, he has to move from the Raiders.
