Did Fataape play against the sharks and eels? We don't seem to have gone any better without him, maybe gotten a little worse.
He did but he’s not going that well in Cup either. Was ok in the recent game against the Knights but hasn’t been killing it there.

Cup's not a good indicator though. Some look like they're playing like busteds in cup and as soon as they start in NRL they go okay. Naden the exact opposite.

Yep apart from Api don't know who else is going to make up for the 70 tackles that Bateman and Papi average out between them each week
Plus the dozen or so miss tackles the outside backs dish up every week, that’s a lot of tackling to do.
If someone says sayfart I’ll laugh myself loose.

I don’t deny Naden had a shocker, but I couldn’t trust Faataape to come in and do a better job in his place. The only person unless you’re willing to count Bateman in this case that could’ve pushed him aside are both out injured which ended up saving him.

Have to win the arm wrestle in the middle. And our kick chase has to be on point. This is my concern for Seyfarth & Twal- they are not traditionally fantastic in those kick chase type plays. I have no doubt they will bust themselves trying though. But containing the Dolphins back 3/5 is vital on those kick returns.

We have to play the Dolphins deep & make them use their outside backs for the dog work, not the glitz plays.

Sullivan & Galvin's kicking game will be vital- but not as vital as a disciplined kick chase game.

I'd have started Simpkin in the backrow & given him that simple instruction- chase like hell.

Kepaoa isn't that terrible an inclusion. His line speed could be important.

Naden redeems himself if he can lead the kick chase & disciplined line defence.

Dolphins are a speedy side and can see their backs having a day out. Dolphins by plenty.

Where do out next two wins come from this season?

Why is everyone surprised about AJ being back? We‘re done two back rowers, and that‘s his primary position these days. Of course he’s going to come back in. And it’s not like we’ve been winning games without him, so not sure why all the fuss? Most of the blokes named have lost us 6 in a row. But let’s focus on a fringe player at the worst club in the comp being named as the biggest problem.

Was playing right centre during the 20 min period that he cost us any chance of a win.
To be fair, it's not like Bateman has done any better. Not defending Naden, but when Best is on, he's on, and I can't see many who can defend against that....including Starford. Not to mention you're partnering Staines who was at fault as well.

I know Naden didn't have his best game, but at least he's trying, given the circumtances, and he did score one too. And is one of the few who has contributed to our minimal attacks in the past weeks.

If you ask me, I'll pick a player that tries hard then someone who goes missing or just tag alongs any day of the week.

It seems Benji is not a coach to drop a player after one poor game. He seems to give a player a chance to make amends (thinking Seyfarth after poor Canberra game, had very good next game).
