I think those concerned about Hope are right to have their reservations, but I suspect Haywood will creep up on everybody for a bit-part role quicker than people expect. Won't surprise me if they give him a bench game in Cup to finish the year over the next month...

I don't think that makes any sense if we are going to start Latu at 7. If he plays 14 then yeah sure, but otherwise it's just a disruption to his development.
Totally agree, I would definitely keep the halves combination we had against the Bulldogs, luai in my mind had his best game this season in his old spot,
With 1 x Tino added I think we would be top tier.
I know To'a is not the flavour of the month, but I'm not writing him off as "inconsistent" this year.
What about with Nathan Cleary?
To'a was probably our 2nd best player over the first half of the year. The knock on him is inconsistency and injuries, unfortunately the 2nd half of the year has done nothing to disprove the knocks.

if there's anyone who's expendable in the backline, it's Skelton, not Starford.
Skelton is still less than 20 games into his career. He’s far from locked in to being an automatic selection.
I agree re Makasini. Can see him become an exceptional left winger to start his NRL career with his fend, decent speed, tackle-breaking ability & pretty good aerial takes from what I have seen.
I think Skelton's way more likely to go to R360 than Starford, despite Mac's reasonably plausible theory.
Hope so Ink. Just think his decision making & skill errors (poor handling & ptbs at times) need work & he is not an aerial threat for a winger his height. I just think he'll get overtaken by others in our squad.
