All too common in Australia these days. The GP's want you in and out with no script, no tests, just their medicare money and a 6 minute consultation. Much easier to write sick notes on a Monday without any risk. The specialists are know all smart asses and don't take you seriously. The system is becoming a joke. Some good docs out there of course, but lots of poor quality care nowadays.A good few months longer than it should have, and I got dismissed along the way by the specialist.
I had major surgery in May then had 8 weeks recovery and now into my 5th cycle of 12 for chemo which will be roughly 6 months of week on week off treatments.
Not the system it once was and sorry to hear you were dismissed.
