Your definition of stoicism is ignorant. You'd do well to learn a thing or two about it and it helps many people stay steady in good times and bad.
Stoicism isn’t about bottling everything up. It teaches that emotions aren’t wrong in themselves, but letting them control you leads to poor decisions.
It’s about staying rational and in control when facing emotions or problems. A Stoic might choose to share feelings or difficulties if doing so is useful for finding solutions, building trust, or supporting others. What they avoid is venting in a way that’s uncontrolled, self-pitying, or driven by panic. Sharing, but with purpose and composure.
