Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

keon just lives in the area & thinks he could develop there nicely if the dogs were interested
Funny how all these players like Galvin "feel" they can develop at teams, just as long as the teams doing well. I always thought the guys that developed while the team were in the cellar developed into better players, all these players flocking to the Dogs to develop will run as soon as the going gets tough. They miss the part where they develop loyalty and mental tenacity.

i know his dad, keons preferred new club isn’t us 😢
Keons manager has already been seen with or at the HQ's of the Eels and Dogs .. Manly and Dragons are also hoping to talk to his manager next. .. Here's hoping our recruiting staff atleast get a chance.

Dogs are also in the hunt for Tino .. do the Dogs have an open salary cap .. ?? they are alreay getting Leo Thompson from the Knights next season.

Would have not been someone that high up. It’s usually friend of a friend type stuff. Or in some cases, knowing a player agent.
Perhaps? But this info was presented in a formal way, with the intention of being constructive. There was also an air of reticence or withdrawal which coincided with the heat being cranked up on the coach.

yep realistically your football is going to develop the most under Wayne you’d think… but they are bottom of the ladder so no one is banging their door down.

ah interesting didn’t see that. dragons go for and miss out on a lot of players. Flanno hasn’t landed a big fish yet

What incentive would anyone who works for the club, with clout have to post anonymously on a forum, giving away so much sensitive information? I’m pretty there was a time where the club reached out to the mods cos whoever he was went too far with info he gave. Can’t remember the specifics, but it had something to do with Brooks. This was back around 2016.

damn wish i was on the forum back then. what a time that would’ve been lol

Will assume now that any potential depth centre/wing signing now will be below the experience & value of a Brent Naden & Charlie Staines.

Here is an excerpt from an email Naden's manager Allan Gainey has sent clubs (as reported in the DT) ...

Brent Naden (Wests Tigers). The ideal utility player who can competently cover centre, wing, fullback and five eight. A big body with excellent pace and a strong defender. Injury free following an early season setback and would be a worthy acquisition at good value. Likely to be forced out of the Tigers due to salary cap restraints but the Tigers CEO and Coach are more than happy to provide a glowing endorsement.

May mean Krystian Mapapalangi has a very good chance to nail it if he can finish the season strongly at right centre in NSW Cup.
